”We had another lovely stay at the Lower Mill estate. Kids enjoyed the watersports, bike rentals, swimming and tennis and the independence of having it all within easy access. The cottage was a good space for the 2 families - 2 mums, 4 kids with a well stocked kitchen. It was a little dusty as nobody had stayed for awhile, which did also mean a lot of quite large spiders. Probably inevitable as you are so near the water but they were some of the biggest I have ever seen or had to deal with!”

”Checkin , parking and the apt were terrific - very large space. walkable to Jericho and central Oxford - or bike-able. Near the canal walk and close to Port Meadow. Possibly one of the better locations in Oxford. The apartment is modern and well equipped but there were just a few negative points more for the owners to repair. I don't normally post negatives but I think this flat/apt is def worth it with a few minor tweaks There were lights that didn't work in the bathrooms just needed...

”Our Accomodation met all our needs. The kitchen was a little small but adequate. We loved being able to paddle board from the rear of our Accomodation. We did get stuck in the reeds though. Perhaps they need a little trim. The outdoor pool was heated so the kids were happy to splash around before dinner. We didn’t use the Spa. We did a couple of walks around the village and a little bit of nature spotting. I think it would be a good idea to create a larger adventure play area for the 10+...

”My second time renting this property as it is quite close to my Oxford family member’s flat and very convenient to the grocery and all of the city as well. To improve comfort the living area needs more comfortable seating with foot rests. The provided towels did not include wash cloths this time which would be helpful. But we made do and enjoyed the stay. It’s a nicely appointed property and I look forward to staying there again.”

”Bedrooms lovely but tight around beds. but en-suites quite roomy. So easy for different groups to do different things in the huge barn dinning/kitchen/lounge. Our 4 and 6 aged grand sons loved the space and outdoors games. Trampoline, football, table tennis etc. Google the grinding barn for easy location guidance as 3 of our 4 cars struggled with the given directions.”

”The photos really don't do the sheer tranquility of the settinf justice. Total isolation in the cotswolds, beautiful surrounding scenery. The house is nice if not new spec on all the funishings, but the real win is the location and the setting. Perfect for our group of friends who wanted to relax and stay up late drinking and chatting and enjoyinf the hot tub. But I'd also come back with my family any day of the week. If you do stay, check out the Rose and Crown in Shilton for a great meal.”

”We stayed here for my sisters hen do and had the best time! The house was great (although you could use some more mirrors around the place but us girls made it work 😂). The secret garden was a nice place for sunset drinks and there’s a bigger field we were able to use for laser clay pigeon shooting! The grounds are beautiful.
