”Set back from mcdonalds road so pretty quiet. We enjoyed the balcony and the view from it.”

”We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the room with a card from Lane Retreat wishing our 10year old @Buckythefriendlypup a Happy Birthday and enjoy our wine country celebrations. The breakfast selections were excellent. Parking was convenient. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Pool was clean. We including the poochies enjoyed our stay!”

”Elegant room. Jetted spa bath leaked but didn’t impact our stay. Bed mattress was a bit soft for my liking but I’m sure others like it, just wasn’t very supportive. TV offered stream play from photo to tv, however was extremely laggy and unwatchable when we tried. Staff were lovely and grounds were picturesque.”

”The room is spacious, clean and well equipped. Most importantly, the bed is super comfortable. They offer fine dining for dinner and European breakfast. All servicing staff are helpful, accommodating and polite! Simply enjoyed my stay at Spicers Guesthouse!”

”Not really a luxury accommodation, but very good quality place to stay. Close to vineyards, golf courses and other attractions. Abdolutely beautiful view over Hunter Valley, old buildings create a pleasant athmosphere. No outdoor pool, but indoor pool in spa premises is a big one. Sauna is way too mild and not in good shape. We really loved our time here althought it's a bit pricey.”

”We stayed two nights in a three-bedroom villa with two young kids and their grandparents. We are sensitive to cleaning chemicals but none of us had any reaction, no smell, so we could fully relax at the villa. The waterpark and the bigger pool were amazing, entertained our kids all the time, literally almost all day. We could spot some warrabies in the property, which was a good bonus. The breakfast buffet was also great, especially the egg kitchen. No salad at the time I stayed but a good...

”We booked a room for 5 persons and the room was prepared for 4 people. When asked, we were told that it is possible to make the sofabed and bring a towel, but only against additional costs. The room was dates and poorly cleaned and had a half eaten cherry and similar items on the floor ”

”All interactions with staff were universally friendly, courteous and helpful. 2 bed villa was spacious, well appointed, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was a delight. Happy to recommend !”

”Place was okay, but not a great deal to do in town. Good for a 1 nite stop over.”

”Basic basic accommodation. No problems.”

”Amazing people amazing place. Will be back next year”

”Mahtava merinäkymä ja sijainti aivan rannalla sekä keskellä kylän palveluita. Huoneella oli oma parkkiruutu hotellin parkkihallissa. Mukava sänky.”

”Overall nice stay. The only minus was that we could hear everything from the next room. ”

”In the middle of the busy Hunter Valley wine area. Most hotels are really overpriced and the restaurants as well which is not very clever regarding the tourism industry. The hotel is a motel style place with no services. The water at the swimming pool looked not that fresh nor clean. Recommend staying outside of the wine region. Just make day trips to Hunter Valley.”

”Great staff, clean and modern.”

”Great location and very central to everything. A nice cafe on site with great food and really friendly staff. Our accommodation was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and even though we didn’t have in-house housekeeping each day, they offered clean towels, pool towels, dishwashing liquid etc, so we never ran short. There was a great pool which was nice and warm with a cover over one end to protect you from the sun. All in all a great place to stay. Would be a...
