6. Nostalgic River Home, 2 Bdrm, 2 Bath on the River!

Baker City

”Overall, the house was good. However, the portable AC isn't really portable so the bedrooms got rather warm. We were fortunate that the weather wasn't hot as I imagine it would get really hot in the house if the temps had been in the 80s or 90s. It's a bit dated but had what we needed to cook meals, do laundry and hang out after the bike races. It was close to downtown which was really nice.”

Jodi R.

”Storybook Nook is a darling vintage, well-maintained home, within walking distance of anything you might like to do in downtown Baker City (and there is so much to do!). There is a beautiful park and river path right behind the house, which is convenient if you're traveling with a dog. The yard is partially fenced in the front, so it is not a yard where a pet can run freely. It is a two-story home, with two bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. It has a large, well-appointed kitchen and two roomy...

”Beautiful drive to get there from McCall to Half Way. We did end up calling the host for our check in code as the internet is spotty at times. This site gave us a place to stay before and after taking the Hells Canyon Jet Boat tour. Very clean and nicely decorated unit. Washer and Dryer was a nice bonus. Bed was comfortable. The town of Half Way is small, but has a well stocked grocery store (Old Pine Market). Each room had a TV. After our 2nd night, We opted to eat breakfast at the Cow Camp...
