”The grounds and the winery here at Hessenland are beautiful. We loved being able to walk around and explore the gardens and lovely seating areas. The outdoor pool was a refreshing treat during this heat wave. The food and drink was fabulous and the staff wonderful, friendly, welcoming and helpful. We found the inn itself dated and tired looking. The rooms and sitting areas could use with an update and refresh like the rest of the property has had. On the whole though we enjoyed our stay.”

”When I checked myself in using the door codes emailed to me (the front desk is only attended during the day), I was quickly disappointed with my room: the door wouldn't lock, the toilet wouldn't stop running, and I found some kind of stain on the mattress under the tucked sheet. I texted the 24 hour emergency number, not sure who would respond at such a late hour (it was 11pm at this point).
