”We had a lovely stay, the farm is stunning, we loved the access to the gardens and watching the cows and chickens and our host Sarah was great. The only thing I would suggest would be placing a fan in the rooms as they can get really hot in the unusually warm weather”

”Breakfast and Dinner were excellent . The bar service was excellent also, they made our drinks even though they were not on the menu (twice). Staff is great. We highly recommend.”

”i always have a great stay, the rooms are clean and have all the facilities i need, staff are great and good pubs and restaurants nearby, also have good free parking.”

”I was given room 3 which was average and definitely not like the advertised photos or reviews, there was not hot water which happens, I was then given an 'up grade' to an upstairs room where the shower head was broken and the electric shower when set at medium went from cold to burning on its own, clearly faulty. Bed was very comfortable but the room was dated. Unable to offer comment on the breakfast as I had to leave before it started, 8am is quite late for midweek.”

”Our room was not as big as expected from the photos and we were overlooking a flat roof with extractor fans continuously on - not so great when we had to have the windows open in the heat and could not get the ac to work. However an extremely helpful receptionist (Jay) gave us a different room a little bit further away which was a little bit bigger and slightly less noisy (thanks Jay 🙂). ”Our stay was a journey down memory lane for me. The hotel was still lovely and popular, the room was clean and albeit small as a twin, it was in keeping with such a historic building and the lady on the bar, who checked us in couldn’t be more welcoming. The kitchen even catered amazingly for a veggie and a vegan option breakfast. The hotel is centrally located for the beautiful village of Eyam’s history trail, tea rooms and local walks with good parking facilities. ”

The wait staff was exceptional as well. The food was excellent, the setting idyllic, and location walkable to The Chatsworth House! We could not wait to write a glowing review as we cannot recommend this hotel enough! We suggest you give your entire staff a raise as they were top notch and whoever hired them...

”Didn't have breakfast this time it was 4.30 not a lot to choose from not a continental also no one about as partner was gluton free and dairy. Previous stay was good as we had breakfast, gluton free and soya milk was there then after 6.00 lots to choose from.”

”Loved this place. The setting is beautiful as was our room. A real mixture of old and new that worked perfectly. The staff were really friendly and attentive and we truly felt welcome. We opted for the pie for dinner and I can honestly say, it was the best pie I have ever eaten. The pastry was amazing and it was filled to the max with the ham and leek.
