”The town is cute, the area is cute. The property needs to be further along. The water in the kitchen has a bit of rust, but the adjacent bathroom the water was better, which we used.The beds were comfortable, the shower ok. No way to control the heat… needs window upgrades, holes in floors patched.The Vrbo app horribly difficult and frustrating, that definitely needs addressing.”

”I highly recommend you stay away from this listing. We stayed for less than 30 mins due to several reasons. There is a 2 inch gap between the door and the door jamb which was allowing freezing air into the unit. The temperature when we arrived was 51 degrees, with the sun going down in mid February, it was going to get much colder. There were 2 small space heaters for heating. The kicker was the ants in the bed. I attempted to work with the owners for a refund and enlisted VRBO as well to work...

”My husband and I spent 10 weeks at Talavera while looking for a home in Salem. It was a fantastic home base with all the amenities we needed. Walking distance to historic downtown and Safeway and cute neighborhoods for evening strolls (watch out for bunnies!) The established neighbors in the building were lovely and the host of the property was always accessible and took care of any concerns quickly.
