”As a solo traveler, I honestly don’t understand why this place has such a low rating. It was exactly what I needed for my trip. The bed was comfortable, the shower had great hot water after long days of hiking, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. ”The staff member at concierge was great. The view is nice, the room comfortable. I wish there were cross-ventilation in the room because the air was moist and had a smell. The air conditioner didn’t seem to help things flow or stay dry. Also the Kuerig wasn’t clean inside. Otherwise nice place close to bridge to island.”

”The price and location worked perfectly for us. It was wonderful to come back to some peace and quiet at the end of the day after being around So. Many. People. All day long. We had a private balcony overlooking a large lot where the kids played. It felt secluded even though it’s on a main road, walking distance to a bakery and coffee shop. The airport across the street was charming and we enjoyed watching the planes take off and land. Thank you to these great hosts!”

”It is a older motel with some rooms remodeled. Great to put your head down for the night. We only stayed 1 night, on arrival got changed and went out, came back to sleep and leave first thing in the AM. Suited my needs”

”Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience at this hotel. In the middle of the night, while we were asleep, someone unlocked and attempted to open our room door. Fortunately, the security latch stopped the door from opening completely, although the force partially ripped the door trim from the wall. The room had only the standard door lock and the security latch. After this incident, I had to wedge a chair under the door handle to keep the door secure for the rest of the night. Needless...

”We stayed in the motel portion. The location is convenient and our room was ok, but the bathroom had a sliding door with no locking mechanism, which is quite ridiculous when there is a family staying in the room. When I emailed the property twice about this, both emails were ignored. Similarly, I messaged them with a request for "late" checkout (11 am, since their checkout is a ridiculously early 10 am), I received no response.”

”This hotel was a perfect choice for a family trip. The breakfast was delicious, and the kids especially enjoyed the tree swing and the complimentary s’mores. The pool was also very clean, allowing them to have a great time safely. The location was another big plus, as it was close to both downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, making it very convenient to get around. If I ever visit Bar Harbor again, I would definitely stay at this hotel.”
