Lomamökit – Innoshima

”Located almost half way on the Shimanami Kiado steps from the sea in a quite little town. The room was minimal. The hotel doesn’t offer amenities and only two coffee bags and no milk. Checkin wasn’t till 4pm and after a long day cycling in summer an earlier check in would have been appreciated. What we payed for a small amount of time in the room was high. We also had a shared bathroom and toilet. The restaurant was underneath the rooms and you could hear people talking.”

”Hotellin ravintolat sulkeutuvat aikaisin. Pe illalla saapuessa ruokaa ei hotellissa tai lentokentällä saanut. Hotellin kioskissa myytiin kuppinuudeleita ja naposteltavaa. Hotelli oli erittäin siisti ja hiljainen. Huone, ilmastointi ja vuode olivat oivalliset nukkumiseen. Aamiainen oli perusmallin japanilainen. ”

”Large rooms which is a nice change from travelling around Japan! Bathrooms are visible from the bedroom but there is a curtain. Bike rental was good, hotel is a nice place to chill out especially after visiting the main cities Google opening and closing times for local places to eat and drink are not always accurate- a lot of places were closed for dinner when Google said they would be open. Good to bear in mind.”

”I had a lovely stay. The staff were kind, welcoming, and very helpful, and the hotel was comfortable and enjoyable throughout my visit. The only small difficulty was finding the location on my first arrival, but once I found it everything was excellent. Thank you very much for your hospitality.”

”This was our (family of four age 9 and 11 kids) first Ryokan experience. It was incredible. We loved the authentic Japanese feel. It was an adventure getting there on a boat and we rented bikes next door for a beautiful all day ride. It’s a great spot to ride from in the middle of the Kaido. If you want a traditional, relaxing stay—book this! We hope to return. (We did 2 rooms with 2 people each because the bedrooms are smallish.)”

”Hotel is very pleasant, several different furo´s, you get most out of it is you want japanese experience, tatami room, furo several times a day, dinners spectacular but runnning bit out of ideas on 3rd dinner as we had no meat wish. all seafood superb. Natural park starts on island Sensui-jima just in front of village, excellent for swimming, hiking. and you find good places to lunch there. Tomonouro is very pleasant fisherman village, walking distance all over, couple of small museums,...

”The amenities and location of the property made it a super comfortable and relaxing stay. It was beautifully designed and the view was great! (Worth the uphill climb and slight detour from the main shimanami kaido route!) Smooth and easy communication with the owner. Google maps location was accurate. Breakfast provided was decent. If you are staying in the property for more meals, bring more food along. Kitchen is well furnished. Will choose to stay here again!”
