”Their staff is friendly and helpful. This properly has just been completely renovated so its super clean and very comfortable.”

”The property is an old building with lots of history. My room was clean and Jeff was very helpfull. Coffee and/or tea were. Available at the front office area. A microwave was also available there. My room had direct access through a back door which was very convenient for taking out my dog and easy access to my car. The adjecent properties share the history of a former military fort.”

”The room was small but had nice furniture and clean and confortable bed. It was quiet but it did not have a bathroom. The bathroom available was doen the hall. It was clean and i had a good shower. The staff were nice and helpfull. The breakfast was included and very tasty, it was a good surprise. My room was pet friendly. The wifi in the room was good. Parking was avsilable across from the hotel.”

The only issue that I had, and it was very minor, was finding the check-in instructions, but it was no trouble - another guest showed me the way. Well, there was a second issue. The driveway is very steep with some very sharp turns. I had everything I owned in the back of my pickup, so with the added weight, it was problematic for me to maneuver the driveway. ”We were pleasantly surprised with how comfortable our room was. The flavor of the old historic building was maintained while meeting the standards of most modern facilities. We arrived early and Chelsea took care of our luggage until our room was ready. She went through the Skagway highlights with us and we were off to explore the town. ”Extremely clean. Quite. Nice staff and very helpful.”

”The hotel was charming and old. You feel like you traveled back in time. The hotel is on the strip and was very convenient but at night if your room is near the street the local drunks can be loud at night. We tried to use the washing machine onsite but there is no coin machine or soap so you have to fend your self of you want to use the onsite amenities. There is parking behind the building for customers which is very nice because there is very limited parking in town.”

”I loved this hotel and it’s ambiance; would have loved to stay here longer and relaxed. Restaurant was great too. The hotel’s exterior appearance melded well with the architecture of surrounding buildings.”

”The lodge was wonderful and we had a beautiful view of the ocean from our room. We also appreciated the laundry facilities. However, when we first arrived, there two very unfriendly (bordering on rude) employees at the front desk. The person on the desk later was much better.”

”The main issue we had as there is no sign on the building! There is no way to identify you have arrived at the location. You have to get the room key from a store near the building ( we had to ask people in the street and eventually another store owner took us to the right store to get the key) very unprofessional and frustrating. ”

”This hotel is adequate but very dated. Our shower was out of shampoo, another room out of body wash. We had to keep requesting the staff refill the coffee in the lobby. We were only there for one night so our interaction with staff was very limited. Perhaps when they see people more they are more accommodating? I wouldn’t say don’t stay there, but I will say only expect the necessities.”
