Such a shame. For a historical site, the staff are letting alot of things go. Lights that don't work, hallway's that smell terrible because trash in the trashcan by the elevator is full. Carpet, curtain, furniture in room completely stained. The bed was alright.
If you want a restfull sleep, dont take the room on the traintracks side. She asked me, and I didn't really think about it, but I regret my decision.
I left a personal item in the room after checkout, called an hour later, they said the room hasn't been cleaned yet. Called around 5pm, asked about the item, the lady at the front desk said I was welcome to come back and check the room, since it hadn't been cleaned yet, but she couldn't leave the front desk. I couldn't make it that evening. I came the next morning. Was told the room was cleaned and already booked out. Nobody knew about a personal item.
Kind of annoying since I called twice, spoke to 2 different people, but nothing got communicated amongst staff.
I love the Silo's. I love this location, but things are starting to fall apart as far as La Quinta staff and managment are concerned.
