”I reserved using expedia.com. The pictures shown on the site where not the actual reservation. I arrived and they had no idea which villa I had reserved, even though I had called to confirm in advance. The villa they said I paid for was not the one on presented on the website. ”This property, it’s a scam. We rented this place for three nights and four days, and we left one day before our check out, because of how bad it was. For two days we didn’t have water. We also didn’t have electricity. We even ran out of gas for cooking, we had to drive to the nearest small town. The owner told us that cooking gas was a courtesy. ”The furnishings are worn. The second bedroom is only suitable for small children. The house is only a few metres from a busy main road with noisy traffic. The beach is unattractive. The water is too shallow for swimming. And the house is NOT in the “historic centre” of Portobelo, which is several kilometres away and consists of the ruins of a fort and a church. We were so disappointed we left after one night.”
