Nice place to stay in Isla Mujeres

We've visited Isla Mujeres a few times, and this has been our favorite place to stay. It's perfectly located—close enough to walk to shops and restaurants, yet far enough from the busy center to feel relaxed. The beach is just a short stroll away, and there's a golf cart rental right next door. The ferry is also conveniently less than a five-minute walk. We only rented a golf cart for one day to explore the far end of the island. The room was clean, spacious, and well-stocked with everything we needed—beach towels, coffee, drinking water, dishes, utensils, toiletries, and more. We'd definitely stay here again.

Amazing stay!

My husband and I had a perfect stay at Villas San Miguel and our unit (Palenque). Check in was easy and smooth and the unit was just as described. We loved waking up to the sounds of the ocean every morning! We also loved how there was a parking lot on the property for our golf cart (that we rented with their help), that the villas had 2 pools, had purified water for us in the unit,and the comfy bed. The location was perfect and we would absolutely stay here again!

Wonderful apartment

We enjoyed our stay in the Palenque unit at Villas San Miguel. The apartment was spotlessly clean and looked exactly like the photos. We were pleased that the bed was comfy, not rock hard like most beds in Mexico. The apartment complex is quiet and peaceful and our apartment had wonderful panoramic sea views and a spacious patio with comfortable furniture. 4 beach towels were provided. While there is not a swimming beach at the location of the apartment, Playa Norte is only a 10 minute walk (not 5 min as stated in the listing). There are slews of great shops and restaurants within a 5 minute walk from the apartment, as well as a mid-sized grocery store right around the corner. There was usually someone at the front desk and we felt very safe. Maid service occurred 3 days a week and our apartment was always sparkling clean afterwards.I left 4 stars instead of 5 because the kitchen was furnished with only the most minimal kitchenware and there is no oven, only a stove-top and a microwave. It would have been nice to at least have a toaster oven for reheating things like pizza that don't do well in a microwave. Other improvements would be a hammock on the spacious patio and it would be much appreciated if the apartment was outfitted with a couple beach chairs and an umbrella for those who do not wish to go to beach clubs. The pools are not heated and were rather chilly when we were there (early-mid December).All in all we were happy and had a good experience!

Ocean bliss

Wonderful casita located within walking distance to everything. This was our second stay at Villas San Miguel and we’re already looking to book again! The staff is so kind and go out of their way to make your stay perfect. The casita is clean and has everything you need. The beds are very comfortable. The showers are the best we’ve experienced in a rental. We love this property and always look to stay here if there’s availability!

Perfect stay

This was a last minute trip and it could not have been more perfect! Abdiel at the front desk was really nice and helpful. The pools were great to dip into after the beach, the view of the ocean was lovely, and the AC and showers were nice to return to. Only minor suggestion is to have a bit longer bed, as one of us is over 6 feet tall :) We can't wait to return and stay at this exact place!

Highly recommend

We stayed at the Palenque room Friday through Tuesday. Check in was easy and we were greeted upon arrival to the hotel. The room was clean and we felt safe while staying here. The staff was always attentive and helped with any questions. The view was spectacular from our room. Walking distance to places to grab a bite to eat and close to all shopping areas. 10/10 recommend if youre having trouble deciding where to stay. Also close enough to walk to/ from the ferry.

Great location!

Location was great and quite. Close to the local grocery store. We rented a golf cart for four days and explored the island. Short walk to the beach. Accomidations were clean and kept up. Will be back!

Best spot on the island

I have stayed at Keith’s place 3xs now and will come back. It is clean, comfortable, excellent AC and you can’t beat the ocean views. We he locations is close to everything, but tucked away for quiet and privacy. Everyone goes out of their way to make sure you have an excellent stay.

The condo is beautiful with cute decor. The only problem is the electricity goes out a daily basis. This is what they told us and it usually is out about an hour are so. But one night it went off at 6:00 PM and did not come back on till 4:30 AM. Therefore we want be staying there again

Just right.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything is close by. You can walk from the ferry very easily. The grocery store is steps away. The beaches are just a couple of blocks away. We loved the square in front where the local kids play in the evening.

Amazing location

We loved this casita especially the roaring of the waves as they crashed on the shore. Our favorite part was sitting on the patio each evening to watch the ships go by, listen to the waves and watch the people stroll by on the malecon.

Amazing property

We loved our casita Palenque. Beautiful balcony view of the Caribbean. The property was clean, had all the amenities we needed, and the A/C kept the casita cool which was welcomed in the August heat and humidity. I would stay again here in a heart beat. We loved having so many restaurants and the beach within walking distance. Getting to and from the ferry was a short 3 minute walk. Had no problem finding the place using directions property manager provided. We spent time in both pools. It was a perfect stay for me and my 12 yo son.

Emplacement idéal, propre et spacieux

Central, à 5-10 min à pied des plages, emplacement idéal pour se rafraîchir car du côté venteux de l'île. Propriété bien entretenue, personnel accueillant, femmes de chambre sympathiques et efficaces. Parfait pour ceux qui n'apprécient pas les tout-inclus et qui veulent de la tranquillité.

Perfect!

We just spent 5 wonderful nights here. Our first vacation since the start of the pandemic. The location is perfect! The market is around the corner and close to take out places for food. The outdoor space is perfect for meals and watching the sunrise. We did use the pool once-very clean- but it was very cold, so we didn't stay in long. We definitely will stay here again on our next visit to Isla.

Best place to stay on Isla Mujeres

After the long exhausting day of travel, walking into the Pelenque casita was a joyous and relieving experience. It was a clean comfortable room that looked just as it was advertised. The staff was great. The room was kept clean with visits from the cleaning crew every other day, who would leave the loveliest towel origami I've ever seen. We had the promenade and Caribbean Sea waves right out our bedroom window every night. We couldn't have had a lovelier experience. We should know, as attendees of our friends' destination wedding we got a chance to see and hear about some of the other guests' hotel experiences and it broke my heart, but affirmed we made the best choice in booking here. You will not be disappointed. If we ever make our way back to Isla Mujeres, we will definitely be staying at Villas San Miguel.

2021 Isla Mujeres Trip at Villas San Miguel "Palenque"

I had always heard about staying at Villas San Miguel on Isla Mujeres from friends, how much fun the island is, that everything is reasonably priced and the people are so friendly. All of this, I found, is 100% true. We stayed in "Palenque" and Abdiel took care of making sure everything was very accommodating for us from the time we arrived to assuring our safety of our room to making sure we had enough fuel in our cart to scheduling an in-house covid test for our return home. This villa is situated in the center of everything, walking distance to the ferry and restaurants (too many to experience in only 1 week), and close to the market to buy groceries, if needed. I believe any of the villas would be great to stay in and both pools were crystal clean also. I give this villa a 5-star review and would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet adult-cation to stay here.
