”LaLiT is a historic building, near the colonial seat of power when Calcutta was the capital of the British Raj. The traffic around the hotel is chaotic, not to mention crowded. But the staff were wonderful. My husband and I enjoyed our stay, and will stay there again when we are next in Kolkata.”

”This hotel was excellent and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Compared to many other hotels we've stayed in in India, this is one of the best. It actually offered what it said it would offer, and even more - many a times the hotel seems nice enough in internet, but when you get there, it's a totally different story. Not here. And the price was very reasonable in comparison to what we got for that money! A lot of nice details - morning paper delivered to the room, a nice box of cookies...

”Property is good. We stayed here quite a few times. In the last visit I noticed the attending staffs keep standing there for tips which is awkward. One of them actually asked for it which is rare in such high priced properties.”

”Had a bit of a troublesome start, however things got a lot better including complimentary wine and snacks as apology and free drop to the airport. Room service and check in are bit slow though. Love the location and tasty breakfast buffet.”
