”Excellent lodging! We had two spacious rooms, each with a private bath, that looked like new builds. Daily room cleaning. Full breakfast every morning included. Sergio is so nice and sets up any tours and transportation that you would like. Wonderful experience! I highly recommend!”

”I stayed two nights in a private room, the ladies on reception were so friendly and helpful with helping book my activities, they’ve really created a welcoming and chilled vibe. The kitchen and outdoor area is lovely. There’s everything you need both in the property and nearby. It was very chilly at night but was provided with extra blankets, the strong wind was a little noisy with plants hitting my window but I didn’t mind and always take earplugs in case of outside noise. It was super clean....

”The cottage was very romantic for my wife and I on our short stay in Monteverde. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Private entrance with key lock gate made us feel very safe. The porch is perfect for soaking up some afternoon sun. There are four cottages on the property but each is secluded in their own way. Very close to town. We would stay again for sure. Just longer”

”Really great stay at Monteverde Lodge. The staff was friendly and courteous and went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. It is a wilderness hotel with eco friendly policies and forest trails directly on the property. Breakfast was included and came with an excellent fresh fruit plate, toast and a freshly made marmalade. ”

”We stayed here two nights in July and enjoyed our stay. First of all, the customer service is superb! The lady in the reception was super friendly and had great knowledge of the trips and things to do in the area. She also arranged us very good transportation to the Nicaraguan border with few phone calls whereas the guy in the tourist information in the centre of Santa Elena clearly wasn't aware of the proper options. Cala Lodge is a bit out of the centre of Santa Elena, however, there are nice...

”Host was the best, really nice and helpful! She helped us to book tours we wanted, shuttle to next location and she even did us sandwiches for the next morning we had to leave before breakfast. Be prepared with warmer clothes as it is really windy and chilly there! Room is pretty small but clean and otherwise ok. We would recommend this hotel!”
