”This is the first negative review I've ever had to give. We stayed at The Golden Lion Hotel St. Ives. (13-14 Feb) We stayed in Room 20 which was very small and had the constant, very loud noise of the kitchen extractor humming. On the first night it was still on at 10.45pm and we had to ask Reception to deal with it and then it was back on, waking us up at 7pm. Whilst we understand the extractor has to be in use, this has ruined our relaxing break. We could not have a lie in or return to our...

”The property was welcoming to pets. They aren't set up for anyone requiring a shower seat. The room was a good size but the bed wasn't very comfortable. One of the rooms needed to be swapped because the toilet wouldn't flush. The staff were really helpful and friendly.”

”As a wheel chair user needed disability access. The room and access was perfect and the staff were very helpful in selecting the right room and being so tentative.”

”I’m sorry to say the property was not what I expected ! No hot water so I couldn’t have a shower when I got there at 9pm or one when I had my hospital appointment at 8am. so I wasn’t best pleased. And to top it off the heater in the room is not fit for purpose it was freezing I will go there ever again. I will be requesting a refund as the hotel is not a nice place to stay. But I will say the staff were pleasant but I didn’t go there to talk to the staff. ”
