”We were just here for one night, but it is a very nice, clean, place to stay. Good location right by town so you can walk to most everything you will go to on the island in 10 minutes. We didn’t have time to use it, but it has a nice screened in porch as well.”

”My husband and I rented this property for a long weekend, and it was wonderful! Lois and her husband were so welcoming and friendly. The rental was the perfect size for just the two of us (but can also accommodate 2 more), and the location of the property made it an ideal "landing spot" as we explored the community, much of it within easy walking distance. ”Overall, great trip. The island is wonderful, the location was good, and we really appreciated it being a dog friendly property. That said, my expectations were higher for cleanliness. Main points: mattresses are stained/need vacuuming and do not have covers. I am very glad we brought blankets. The blankets that are in the house are dirty. There is mess in every drawer/shelf. It is clearly a family vacation home, but it is difficult to get comfortable when there’s no place to put your stuff...

”House was very clean. Views were amazing with great access to water. Only issues was Alot of snakes on the property, we counted 9 in one day. If I had small children with me this would of been awful. ALOT of mosquitoes, we had to purchase stuff to spray around they yard and citronella candles. One thing that should be listed when booking is your trash has to be taken to another location at the end of your stay, if you don't have a truck this could be an issue I would not want to load trash into...

”This is the second time we’ve rented this property and it has several characteristics which make it unique. Location - lovely view of Lake Michigan including fabulous sunsets, but not far from town or a perfect public beach for walking & swimming. Thick vegetation makes it quiet & lush but there’s always a good breeze from the lake. Loons and saw a pelican, too & a snowshoe hare in yard. The screened in porch is a huge plus for relaxing bug-free. Big & well- equipped kitchen for foodies....
