”This is a historic place visited by the likes of Henry Ford, filled with fishing memorabilia on the walls, that is a great choice for a group (or family) who wish to test their skills on the Au Sable or other local trout streams Terry and the other staff were wonderful. The suite I stayed in, one of two with their own bath rooms, was commodious. It's well located on the north branch of the Au Sable, and only about 25 minutes from Grayling. ”

”I’ve never stayed at a hotel where I could hear very clearly the guests in the room above us. Very thin floors. Water pressure on the shower was poor. Definitely not worth the $260 we paid.”

”This ain't the Ritz, so if that's what you're looking for, keep looking. The place is clean. The office staff is helpful. The place is dated. Amenities? A/C, fridge, microwave and in room coffee, iron and hair dryer. More than I needed and the price was right. I did extend by 1 night and the price doubled, but it was ok. Several bar/eateries in walking distance. I would go back.”

”When we got to the office ar the Waters, we couldn’t find a soul in sight to get us checked in. We called multiple times, rang the ring doorbell multiple times… no response. Went to the bar across the road and they knew the owner and said he was sleeping. We went back over and sat in front of the room hoping he would greet, apologize, etc….he never even showed his face and made zero effort to honor the booking. Needless to say, we were Extremely disappointed with this booking that left us...

”Worst hotel I have ever stayed in!!! Dirty, stains on bed, bathtub was filthy. I got moved to 3 different rooms because rooms were horrendous. They would not give me a refund. Hotel owner will fight with you about everything and thinks nothing is wrong with the rooms. I was there 40 mins at the front desk and I witnessed 6 different customers come and demand refunds in that short amount of time. I took the loss on the refund and went to a different hotel. No way I would sleep in those rooms.”
