”Stayed at the Light Horse Inn for two nights. Absolutely loved it. You have to manage expectations because this isn't an ultra modern hotel with a restaurant, bar workout facilities, etc. However if you love history, antiques and the charm of a very unique stay, Light Horse Inn is for you. The room was very large and decorated with timeless antiques. They are very responsive via text for any questions, concerns. ”The staff was very helpful and the night shift lady at the desk was awesome! So very helpful. Stores are a short drive away. The old town of Harper’s ferry is about a 30 min easy walk (unless it’s 100 degrees outside)”
”Was exactly what I needed for a solo bday trip to the area. Minimal, friendly, clean. Didn’t mind that it’s obvious the place has been there a while. The parking lot has a huge pothole, which isn’t great. Just drive around it and be grateful for the great price and nature at your doorstep.”

”Enjoyed a 2 nite stay here while attending CATF theatre festival in Shepherdstown. Enjoyed the outdoor hottub after biking on C&O Canal towpath, and fantastic country breakfasts. Views to the west over Antietam battlefields are spectacular! Hosts couldn’t have been more welcoming, including the talking parrot! ”
”Very quiet. Free shuttle to casino ran frequently. Very limited free breakfast- no hot food. Bagels, muffins, hard boiled eggs, cereal, fruit and yogurt. But that’s enough to fill you up. Would stay again if we were in that area. ”
