”The location was convenient. We liked the accommodations. Although the room did not come with a fridge, hot water kettle or a microwave, the staff helped us out to address the situation. The only other thing was the wifi did not work with our laptops and there were not enough plugs to accommodate our chargers. It was a minor point and we managed to work around. I am sure the staff would have provided power strips if we asked for them.”

”The hotel has a classic and stylish interior, original and respecting Yale university’s heritage. I loved it, as you feel part of Yale’s legacy. Breakfast in the cafe downstairs was very limited, that’s the only minus.”

”A very good hotel centrally located in New Haven/Yale. The Yale area provided for a super beautiful evening/morning walk. Close to many restaurants as well. Hotel was extremely tidy, beds were comfy and breakfast was amazing - with a view! ”

”The food was absolutely delicious!! However, some of the staff were rude, inconsiderate, and frankly didn’t seem to want to “deal with us.” On a positive note, one of the bartenders and receptionist were delightful to talk with and were patient, and respectful. Along with this, the cleanliness of the room was simply okay. There were stains on the bedding, no liners in the trash cans, and the floor had salt and stains marks on it as well. And when we tried to ask for housekeeping to clean it...

”My only real complaint or concern about the room is the free stand AC/heat unit which is very loud and you could hear a clanking noise which upsets my sleep. I had to shut the unit off and use extra blankets. Other than that, the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good and it was very convenient to the airport. ”

”We had a very nice stay as a family of 4. Appreciated the larger-than-average size room with pull-out couch and kitchenette. It was very clean and well-maintained and staff were friendly and accommodating. Location was convenient to restaurants and other areas. Breakfast was fine for a hotel breakfast buffet- nothing spectacular, but we were appreciative of it being there. Found it to be quiet despite being right near highway. Would stay there again!”

”The property is in an alley behind some dilapidated buildings it felt very unsafe. The room was small , with nowhere to sit but on the bed. The security was a joke anyone could get into the room easily. They had a free breakfast listed which consisted of waffles , some bread and coffee or tea.”

”No nonsense at a reasonable rate. No frills. 24/7 pull up, walk in, ID, cash/card, $4 key deposit and you’re good to go. Book online if you want and they don’t give you a hard time. Lots of local places will give you all kinds of a hard time because you wanted to save money by booking with the third-party app, etc. These guys don’t. The rate is always pretty reasonable either way. They do sell out on weekends or holidays/local events. We have stayed here several times and find it more...
