Ok for a short stay
We spent one night here in December. The room was spacious, but somewhat dirty and the door was nearly broken. We were surprised that the lock even held, as it looked as it had seen the better days of its life already. Our unit was next to the railway, which was operational day and night. So it was little shaky so to say. There were only one socket so charging, for example multiple phones, was out of question. Overall the room was good for one night stay, but for longer stays, look elsewhere.

Not worth the money!
It was back to seventies! Couldn´t us the shower because there was not heating at all at that area. Internet was a laugh: could not even reserve the next accommodation by using it. Money wise we could understand if it was in the city but far from it. Worst accommodation in our two week time in New Zealand: luckily we found nicer and cheaper motels as well.

I recommend!
The room was awesome and the staff are friendly. I forgot my adapter in the room when I left, the staff were super nice as they helped and sent my adapter to my auckland hotel. All in all, brilliant!

Basic but clean hotel little outside the village
We had two bedrooms for four person, which was nice and the kichen was ok too. Nothing spectacular, but clean and nice apartement. Personnel was nice and helpfull. The beach is just next to hotel, but you have to go accors the railroad before going there. However, there isn't much railroad traffic. A good and big grocecy strore right next to the hotel. It was a big plus.

Hyvä sijainti
Rauhallinen hotelli lähellä kauppaa. Meri ihan vieressä, tosin pohjavirtausten vuoksi uiminen ei onnistunut. Jonkin verran melua junan mennessä ohi. Huomattavasti rauhallisempaa aluetta kuin Kaikouran keskusta, jonne matkaa oli pari kilometriä. Rannalla mukava juoksupolku.

Fantastic location, just a literal skip over the train tracks and you’re on the beach! Everything was pristine in the room, very comfortable. Quick drive into town with tons of shopping and food options. The seal colony nearby was a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend the Alpine View for a lovely stay!

Beach access is through the back gate of the Motel, which is fantastic for surf casting (good fishing spot), picnics, and walks on the beach. Walking distance to supermarket. Very clean, and well presented.

The unit was quiet, warm, clean, and roomy . There was everything we needed to enjoy a nights accommodation . Our host had already put the heater on before we arrived as the temperature had dropped .

Alpine View is the bomb! For our short stay at Alpine, it delivered over and above! Excellent location - understatement! Backing onto Tahuna Campgrounds, we stayed at the back of the complex overlooking the campsite. Using the back alleyway, our kids had the best amenities! Free tractor rides! Playground! Mini golf and pedal carts we hired each day! The camp site has amazing grounds to walk through, mega swing and flying fox! Cafe at the doorstep. A footpath takes you through the park grounds and onto the beach, amazing beach walks and dinner dates on the beach! Kids paradise, not needing the pool. Alpine is friendly, clean, comfortable, just a chilled stay! Coupled with kids movies, comfy beds and clean bathroom and kitchen - it’s the place to stay!

The room quite big, clean and tidy. The only negative thing the room doesn't have an aircon but they provide a fan. We only stay for a nite, so not really a big deal. Other than that it was lovely to stay here.

Great spot for all things Kaikoura
The place worked out great. It had comfortable beds, good heat on a cold rainy day, right next to the ocean and parking right outside our door. We didn't have any issues hearing neighbors, just the train that went by a few times at night. But it was perfect for being close to our tour with The Dolphin Encounter. I would stay there again and recommend to anyone needing a place to stay.
