” Large five story seafront hotel with probably seven acres of surrounding property. Beach was largely pebble with tiki shade/lounges and towel areas perhaps extending to 300 feet along the coast. Several areas designed for children seemed to be well maintained. The entire hotel has apparently been recently upgraded with new paint/tiling/balcony fixtures/etc. Room was average size with comfortable king bed and simple furniture from the 21st century. Breakfast was nice with numerous choices....

”It was a beautifully restored mansion. We were in the basement but there was plenty of sunlight streaming in from windows. Bedroom was in upstairs loft so stairs to navigate . Bathroom downstairs. Everything updated and very clean. Breakfast was delicious, from granola with fruit to eggs and small spinach pies. Tasty orange cake to top it off! Lovely place with garden and resident tortoise and areas to sit outside with a glass of wine. Highly recommend and use the donkeys to carry luggage!”

”The staff at Hydra hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful. I was in room 201 with spectacular corner views of the port and was right next to the breakfast area with its own outdoor area. Unless you are carrying a light weight bag, just plan on hiring the donkey transportation to the hotel. I carried my heavy bad myself, having not understood how many steps there actually were and would not recommend it! I highly recommend Hydra Hotel for its kind staff, beautiful aesthetics, and insane...
