Cozy Guest Suite with Fireplace & Private Entrance

Come enjoy your stay at our home with a private entrance and outdoor patio in the back of the house in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. You will have an entire guest suite to yourself including one bedroom with an attached bathroom as well as a pull out couch for additional sleeping arrangements. Prepare meals and cocktails at the wet bar before settling down in front of the fireplace and watching your favorite movie on the smart TV w/ access to free wifi. The entire basement suite is designated for the booking guests only! The driveway and backyard are shared spaces on the property. Feel free to use the gas and charcoal grills available as well as the fire pit and tire swing. I am available at any time of the day by using the messaging service through the air bnb app. Please park all vehicles (2-3 total) along the left side of the driveway at all times. If you must park in the street for any reason please let me know ahead of time. Extra bedding for the pull-out couch is located in the cedar chest at the foot of the bed in the master bedroom. Extra blankets as well as the iron and ironing board are located in the closet in the main living area. Bassinet and/or pack-n-play are available upon request for infants and children under 2 years old at no additional cost. Smoking allowed outside in patio area ONLY! No smoking inside the suite. Absolutely NO parties and quiet time after 10pm.

The property was clean, in a safe neighborhood, and cozy. There was a strong odor when I first walked in everyday, but the placed seemed clean otherwise. There’s a family that lives upstairs and the kids were pretty noisy. It didn’t bother me since I was there with my toddler, but that might be an issue for someone else. Overall, I would stay here again—it’s the most reasonably priced place I could find in KC. There is a donut shop close by that I rate 10/10!

It needs updating. All the doors stuck, and one had the beginning of a hole. It was a bit noisy but that was to be expected since we were in the basement.The outside patio and furniture were dirty.The bathroom could use some TLC, and it was cold. No thermostat so we were at the mercy of the house inhabitants. The pull-out bed is worse for the wear. We purchased a bed topper so someone could sleep on it but that did not work well. So, we found the inflatable bed, it had a slow leak in it. The carpet in front of the linen/coat/clothing closet was wet for some reason. We could not find out where the water was coming from.

The Green Cottage

This was my first stay and I really did not know what I was doing. I didn't know about the app. But I will have it before next time. The location was incredible. So were the animals. The cottage was PRFECT. I had to force myself to stop eating the muffins. I would give them a wonderful score.

Perfect place

The perfect place to stay for a couple of days away. It was just the reset my heart and mind needed. The family living on property made me feel safe and secure since I was traveling alone - but the nice private apartment gave me the solitude I needed! Can’t wait to go back in warmer weather so I can enjoy the adorable patio!

The space was bigger than I anticipated. The listing said “cozy” which typically means tiny, but there was a good amount of space. It is a basement apartment and there is a family, I’m assuming the host, residing upstairs. There are the usual sounds that go along with that, but nothing annoying. The water pressure was less than I’m used to, and the air conditioning was set lower than I expected (with no control by the guests), but overall, it was a great experience. We attended a Royals MLB game, which was only a 20 minute drive and there were plenty of stores and restaurants nearby. The kitchen is more or less a wet bar with a microwave and mini-fridge, but it suited our needs sufficiently. I would recommend this stay to a friend and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Close to HEART of KC w/ no Chaos

Melody is a great host with comfortable space at the basement level. There were a couple concerns that she explained & assured me would be addressed. It was only 20 minutes from the Cable Dahmer Arena, and that was my focus for the Chris Tomlin Holy Forever World Tour. Do prefer a more functional kitchen option. Did not use the shower or fireplace. The property could use a renovation update. Thank You Melody !
