”Lovely place w excellent service. Quiet and very beautiful in the midst of the vineyards. Our cottage was adorable and had a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen but most of all sweeping views over the valley and the vineyards. Would love to come back. Plus for the coffee at the Mill ”

” We spent five nights in the petite apartment, which is beautiful, spacious and very well equipped. Lovely gardens, swimming pool and a braai. The maintenance and cleaning is to a very high standard, WiFi worked well. It’s well located in a quiet / safe area, pleasant walk to an abundance of great restaurants, cafes and wine bars. Highly recommend a visit, we’ll be back!”

”Everything about this stay was superb. From the pre arrival communication with the owner and check in process to the well appointed house and kitchen we felt truly at home the entire time. The house is incredible and the location is unbeatable. We can’t wait to come stay again. ”

”There was a problem with communication about the property. I was never told about the power outage and also the property did not have AC system in all rooms. Some of the doors were bad and were never fixed and this was the same complaint for past reviews. The host did not care too much. We were checked in late and were not even compensated for the check out. They had "I do not care" attitude. It is a beautiful property but a terrible host.”

”We loved our visit of 5 days, perfect for a 3 gen family group. Biggest pluses: the swimming pool, good sized rooms, airiness, well maintained garden, position for making visits to CapeTown and surrounds (- Constantia is well placed), Athol's help and attention, good wi-fi. One room is almost a self contained flat (which was useful) One or two points to make: It is not exclusive. There are other lets on the same site (unimportant to us) The kitchen is too well stocked! It could do with losing...

”The Valley lodge is Excellent in respect of amenities, safety, restaurants, the staff at the restaurants and lodge are helpful. The food at the restaurant was excellent as well. The host was attentive to our needs and request all the time. She really deserves 5 stars ✨. The Valley lodge really lives up to its name.”

”The property was great. The pool was clean. It came with a small washer and dryer to do laundry. They provided plenty of pool and big bath towels. There is no AC in the property so the upstairs gets pretty hot. You will have to open all windows and doors to cool the place down. Everything is upstairs except for the 2 smaller bedrooms, bathroom, and laundry area.The area appeared safe. It was extremely quiet, and you have 3 grocery stores and a few restaurants within walking distance. The beach...

”I want to say that the location was excellent with a gorgeous view of the ocean. It had summer coastal cottage feel and that it didn't lack amenities - which it did. My only complaint was a general feeling of tiredness and lack of attention to detail. The little touches that would have made it great as opposed to quite "ok" and value for the money. It was on the higher range and depended too much on the view. So overall - don' t get the wrong idea. I liked it quite a bit but i needs a womans...
