Diafani is an incredible, coastal settlement in Karpathos, situated in the northeast side of the island. Diafani has a rich history dating back to ancient times, with influences from various civilizations. In the past, it provided refuge from pirate raids. Today, it’s a popular tourist destination known for its beautiful beaches and outdoor activities. It’s also a starting point for trips to the nearby island of Saria, a nature reserve with ancient ruins. It has a picturesque natural scenery, where visitors can find many pretty colorful houses in a unique design. Just a short distance from Diafani, Vananda Beach is a beautiful secluded beach with crystal-clear waters and a serene atmosphere.
