”Lovely little inn in very quiet location (though easy to get to Halifax). Room was great size, good facilities, bed was comfy! We had a nice view of a sheep field. Cooked breakfast was only available Friday - Sunday, but we were provided with a little cool bag of breakfast items which was unexpected bonus. We only stayed one night for an event in Halifax, but would definitely stay again and for longer.”

”This is a small hotel which has been decorated well. the staff are friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was really good The rooms are clean and lovely. However, there is no lift and there are 3 floors. there isn't a large separate lounge. However ,the views are amazing.”

”Absolutely do NOT RECOMMEND! Do not book! It says on the booking description please contact property if check in is after 10pm, tried calling all day- got through at 6pm as their ‘phone lines were down’ to be told - no late check in! Refund not given! Was booked as a wedding present for bride n groom on their wedding night!”

”Breakfast and service was excellent but the room was severely lacking in storage. The wardrobe had a hanging rail too high for most women to reach and there was no other place to put other clothes, or flat surface for the usual items. Hopefully this will be addressed in an otherwise pleasant hotel”

”Booked just for one night so apart from sleeping there we really only experienced the breakfast. Must say this was excellent with good quality ingredients and quick service. But disappointed that we were unable to get a snack in the afternoon as the chefs had left and not back until dinner prep. Room and bathroom was very clean. Parts of the hotel were well worn particularly stair carpet”

”This is an absolutely charming inn attached to a pub and restaurant. The room is cozy and updated. The restaurant food is local, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Sunday roast was just delicious. You’re in the Yorkshire Dales National Park with a number of beautiful walks/hikes right outside the door.”

”Exceeded expectations all round. Unusual for uk pub bedrooms.. air conditioning! lovely bedroom above the pub, well appointed, comfortable and quiet once closed. New Owners Becks and Tony super helpful and welcoming. Pub itself also great. Will definitely be back in the future”
