”The room was clean and attractive, and we appreciated having a Keurig coffee maker in the room. The continental breakfast in a pleasant dining area was very nice. The ladies who run this obviously care about the attractiveness of the rooms and the comfort of their guests. The only downside is that the view from the comfortable chairs outside the rooms was the parking lot. ”

”Lovely house with great wraparound porch and gorgeous plants & trees. The lilacs, which I love, were blooming which was absolutely delightful - so aromatic and beautiful! The bed was very comfy and the view of the town and water was joyful. There's a lovely art gallery, used bookstore, and plenty of dining options nearby. A very sweet couple manages the inn and they're excellent cooks - Captain Sawyer's breakfast was beyond delicious - one day it was just me and they served huevos rancheros...

”The room was not real large, but we had everything we needed. It was very quiet . The room and bathroom were very clean, well equipped, and the bed was comfortable with nice linens. I really appreciated the magnifying mirror in the bathroom. I was a little disappointed with the continental breakfast. There was nothing to eat for anyone watching sugar intake. The cereals offered were geared more to children like Lucky Charms and Fruit Loops. Please consider offering one item that is not heavy...

”We had a wonderful three night stay at Captain Sweetser's while in Searsport for a wedding. Lori and Ginny, the owners, were friendly and welcoming to us and to our dog. They constantly checked in to see if we needed anything, made recommendations for places to go, and made a fantastic breakfast every morning. Highly recommend!”
