The Grenada at Sunrise Suites - Shared Pool

Summary:

Welcome to Sunrise Suites, a peaceful community on Key West's southeast side. Just 1 mile from the beach and 10 minutes from Duval Street's attractions, this two-bedroom condo complex features uniquely designed units. Enjoy access to a shared hot tub, heated pool, walking paths, biking trails, a tennis court, and on-site laundry facilities—everything you need for a relaxing stay!



The Space:

Sleeping up to 6 guests, the suite includes a king master bedroom, a queen bedroom and a queen size pullout couch for extra sleeping.



Located on the second floor this suite features a private balcony for sipping your morning coffee from the in-house Keurig, or catch up on some work with free wifi while soaking in the sunshine. Each room has a cable tv and central AC throughout the entire condo.



Guest Access:

Our contactless check-in procedure makes check-in easy. Guests will receive a personalized access code prior to arrival.



Shared community features: hot tub, pool, lounge chairs, tennis courts and walking paths



How to Access: Both stair and elevator access



The Neighborhood:

Grenada Suite is located inside of the Sunrise Suites Resort Community located just 10 minutes away from the World Famous Duval Street and its vibrant restaurants, art galleries and nightlife. Inside the community you can find a corner store, spa, walking and biking trails. It is also located just a short drive away from the nightly Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square and entertainment on Duval Street.



Getting Around:

Parking Information: There is 1 private parking spot located under the building for this condo.

For additional parking: there are spots located around the perimeter of the building available on a first-come first-serve basis. We can not guarantee close proximity to your unit or availability.



There are a variety of great ways to explore Key West including by bicycle, pedi-cab, moke, scooter, golf cart, Uber, or Taxi. Feel free to ask us for recommendations!

Quiet safe location

This condo is close to the airport with its own parking spot under the building. Not walking distance to anything downtown, but UBERs are very easy to get and cheaper than parking downtown. Well maintained but starting to show its age. Overall was a great fit for what we wanted - which was a place to sleep when not fishing.

We had a nice stay in the Grenada suite for 2 nites, with 3 adult couples. It was clean & we had what we needed there. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that the couch was in need of replacement or atleast the mattress in the pull out. It was the worst thing I've ever slept on...... the floor was more comfortable!

Decent Place

The actual place was good and all but there were a couple of issues with the building itself. There was construction going in the apartment directly above and we were given no notice that it was happening. When we contacted the host, they said it has been an issue in the past so a little note from early on would’ve been helpful. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8 am and the construction would start at exactly 8 am. Even though we were all awake it was so loud and a nuisance as the entire apartment would shake. The pool and the hot tub were great. Listing said tennis courts would be open and we did pack a couple of rackets, however the court was closed. We wasted a lot of luggage space. A couple more toiletries would’ve also been helpful. We were only provided with a single roll of bounty for 4 nights, and we had to share towels amongst us even though the listing says it can host 6 people. Overall it was an okay stay. The only and biggest issue was the construction. The only people that seemed to know were actual residents of the building. It would be very nice to add a note on the listing that the building is under construction to let vacationers know because it might impact their stay as it did for us.

The Grenada was a beautiful condo with view of the pool. The pictures listed were exactly what you saw. The grounds were kept up nicely. Our GEMS, Matt and Sara were always available to answer any questions or concerns we had. There was a market on the premises that made it easy to shop for items you needed.

Weekend Getaway in key West

We had a lovely time in the condo overlooking the pool. It was outside of town but a short Uber ride away if you don’t want to bother with your car as parking. Price was right for 2 couples: 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, best price available for what we were looking for. We enjoyed our stay.

Honest review this place is OK

This place is OK. Not great when we arrived. The beds in one of the rooms was broken and my children couldn't sleep in it because it was tilted. I contacted the property manager and sent pictures and they came to fix the wrong bed so finally on the last night of our stay, we had a bed that worked for the kids. They had to sleep on the pull out couch the whole time they did offer $200 without me asking, but I think it should've been more since we were short a bedroom for the entire day of our stay , the hot water runs out really quickly in this unit so I took many cold showers. It was nice having a washer and dryer even though it was older and very slow. The amenities are very bare-bones but it's nice that they do provide towels and Bedding as some places do not. It wasn't really that clean and the TV in the master bedroom did not work so that was annoying. Oh no, we did not spend much time there as it wasn't luxury accommodations, but it was one of the cheaper places to stay on the island in the pool and hot tub. We're OK, the water was warm. At least I probably would not stay here again, but it worked for what we needed. I'm not saying that it was terrible. It just wasn't wonderful. I am upset that I did not get more compensation for being down an entire bedroom for the entire trip I think what they offered was a joke.
