”We visited this new hotel / time share villas during the beginning of the South African winter. Understandably, the insulation is not something that we have used to in Finland, but with air conditioner the temperature of the room was ok. The fuse of the air con just had to be fixed, which happened very quickly after our call to reception.
The staff was very friendly and special thanks to kitchen (waiter + cook), who helped to get us some snacks just after the kitchen was closed.”

”It was our family's second time at ANEW RESORT Hunters Rest, and it outdid the first time which was great! Again, we had a family birthday being celebrated, and we were greeted by Thabang at reception with a message from the staff. That was followed by a cake and a written greeting card upon arrival at our accommodation, which had been generously upgraded much to our great pleasure and comfort. ”very nice surprise, a lot of history to the place especially if you are into the anglo boer war, Paul Kruger etc. Met the owner, Robert Forsyth, very nice and friendly person, full of knowledge about South African History. The room we were in was very spacious, it also included a sizeable bathtub.
There are 60 something rooms in the lodge but they appear to be spread out as I only saw maybe a dozen which made the place very private.

”The lodge was very clean and tidy.
The owner and security made me feel very welcome and safe and nothing was to much to ask.
The property has a hike up the ridge behind for great views.
You could if you wanted to hike to mountain sanctuary its about 2 hours there and another 2 hours back.
It was well located just off a main road.
Giraffe, Zebra all came onto property to feed on the land which was quite exciting.”
