Talon säännöt

Aloha Guests, We are located in a private residential area that is not hotel zoned and licensed by the County of Maui to do rentals providing we abide by their strict rules. Quiet Hours are from 9PM to 8AM during which time noise from the home shall not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors. Sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries during non-quiet hours shall not be more excessive than would be otherwise associated with our residential area. Amplified sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries is prohibited. Vehicles shall be parked in the designated on site parking area and shall not be parked on the street. We love children however, no children in the pool prior to 8AM due to the noise restriction. We are lucky as both our uphill and downhill neighbors live in other states and are here infrequently. The lower boundary of the property is vacant land so there is little chance that anyone will be disturbed in anyway. I thought it best to let you know the Rules we have to operate under and hope you will come here, enjoy and have FUN. I didn't have this in my House Rules before but after having a quarreling/fighting couple here recently, I need to say, if you came to paradise to fight with each other, you will be evicted immediately with NO refund. Oh, one more thing, no smoking cigars or cigarettes please. If you must smoke occasionally , please use the lower garden area for that purpose with a "sand can" for the butts. Put a claim in with host and VRBO regarding ants in the kitchen. Have not heard anything. All host did was came and sprayed a natural bug spray NEVER offered to call exterminator.We expect a refund for 5 days.

We had a very nice stay. The pool area was comfortable and a fantastic place to end each day watching the sunset. The location is perfect and just minutes away from several beaches as well as everything in the Wailea/Kihei area. We loved using the outdoor shower. Unfortunately we didn't use the pool due to the cool water temp combined with the relatively cool weather we had while visiting (mainly in the mornings and evenings). I'm sure it's great to cool off in when it's really warm, but our personal preference is a heated pool. The King size bed was comfortable and kitchen/living room had everything we needed. As far as privacy I'd say it's about 80% there. I don't mean that to sound overly critical, it's just that you are sharing a house with the host (Teri) when you stay there (and that should be of no surprise to anyone as it's stated in VRBO). She respects your privacy to be sure, but there is just a wall, door or sliding glass door separating you so you will hear each other just as you would when staying at anyone's house. I still think it's worthy of 5 stars though, just for the relaxing nature of the back yard and pool area alone and Teri has everything there that you need for an enjoyable stay on the island. We will miss the sunsets for sure.

My wife and I stayed for 3 weeks and had a fantastic time. This property has absolutely amazing views! We spent most mornings and evenings on the lanai watching the sunrise over Haleakala and sunset over Molokini. I enjoyed yoga by the pool. We had everything we needed for a great stay - beach chairs and umbrellas ready to go, kitchen supplies, and even some starter snacks. The whole neighborhood is extremely quiet and peaceful, and there were tons of great birds to listen to and watch. Teri was a great host who provided everything we need and gave us plenty of privacy during our stay. Would love to return!

This property is amazing! The backyard, pool, and outdoor shower are the stars of the property. 100% privacy day and night in the backyard. The home itself is very nice as well. Nice size rooms with lots of space and the AC works great. Wi-Fi worked with no issues and internet TV had a lot of options. Property is close to all south Maui beaches. Property is also close to Kihei which has a lot to do. Overall my wife and I loved staying here and would definitely stay here again!

Better than the Four Seasons

Absolutely stunning property. Private pool, love birds and other birds galore. Property is as listed. Watch the whales from the pool deck. We hung out at the pool all the time. Totally private. Terri was wonderful to work with. She kept in touch during our stay. She also stocked our suite with bananas, mango and other treats. The outside shower is to die for.

So relaxing! Quiet and private.

Great location and view! Private pool is so nice and enjoyable. It is so wonderful that we did a lot less running around the island and spent a lot more time at the rental. Plenty of room inside the rental house and a comfortable bed. Lounging around the pool and sunbathing for hours and then jump in the pool to cool off. Pretty close to perfect!

Unbelievable property. The view and the pool is even better than the pictures. The owner is on the property but gave us all the privacy we wanted-we never really ever saw her. Every morning and sunset was an experience. Would CERTAINLY recommend! Way better than a resort.

I've never had such an amazing view! A bit pricey but a unique property. Roomier than i anticipated. Cooked alot with no problem without an oven. Landlady is around alot which is great when you need something but not 100% private. Only complaint was a bed that sagged badly.

Exactly what we needed!🌺

This place was truly exactly what we needed! Not too fancy but perfect for us! The outside space was where we spent 90% of our time while we were at the property. There is an incredible view to the ocean and other islands. Lots of “green flash” sunsets! The beaches are just a short drive away. We loved the seclusion and privacy. The lower garden was also a great place to exhale. Thank you for a lovely stay! Next time we will stay longer!

Great location and experience

We were here to celebrate my 50th and we wanted a relaxed, private space where we could unwind and take in all that Maui offers. Happy to say this place was perfect. Teri welcomed us and was available throughout the stay but also gave us our privacy. The pool and view from the Lanai were perfect and great restaurants and beaches were easily accessible minutes from the house. If you’re looking for a private, relaxed get away in Maui, this is the place to stay.

5 Star Maui Winner!

My husband and I were looking for a special rental for our dive vacation in Maui and we hit the jackpot with Maui Joy! We are neither condo nor chain hotel people and since we would be diving daily, preferred to not break the bank at a luxury hotel. After days of searching, we found Maui Joy, reserved, and to our delight, it exceeded our expectations! Located in an upscale yet eclectic neighborhood up mountain near Wailea, the property is delightfully lush and filled with with flowering plants, coconut palms, mango, banana and many other varieties of tropical foliage. We rented the one bedroom unit and couldn’t have been happier. The large bedroom had an extremely comfortable king mattress, plenty of surfaces to lay out luggage and a large closet with many hangers and two comfy robes. The kitchen was well equipped and also included a new and efficient washer/dryer. The living room was comfortable and the extensive book collection provided a wide choice of literature and travel guides. TV included multiple streaming services. The interiors were clean and well maintained. But possibly the best part was the private pool and magnificent ocean view with Kaho’olawe, Molokini, Lanai and West Maui all part of the panorama. Not to mention the magnificent night sky with more stars then we’ve ever seen. The location is very private, with no neighbors in view, and extremely quiet. If needed, there is a connected (larger) one bedroom suite with kitchen, bathroom, living room - making the entire rental perfect for two couples or a family. Teri (manager/owner) lives on site and was so very gracious and hospitable, always seeing and responding to our every need. If you are looking for an exceptional and specialty experience in Maui that combines privacy, comfort and authenticity, Maui Joy is it!

Fantastic

We had an amazing time staying at Teri's property... the photos online don't quite do it justice. We enjoyed the pool and amazing sunsets, as well as being closely situated to beautiful beaches and delicious restaurants. As a host, Teri was extremely responsive and accommodating and made sure that we had the best time possible. Thank you again for everything, hope to visit Maui and stay here again sometime soon!

A true gem

Second time we stayed in this wonderful little place. Away from the hubbub but still a short distance to shops and, most importantly, Maui’s fantastic south side beaches. We stayed in the smaller section. We all enjoyed the pool, the fantastic ocean and mountain views, sunsets and even the occasional early afternoon rain relaxing in the porch. Kitchen has the basics in this smaller section and a fantastic grill that complements it. Host was around in the property while renting the smaller section, away but very responsive and helpful with little details that came up. Hoping to come back again some day.

Relaxing paradise

We had a wonderful time here- Kihei was a perfect location for everywhere we wanted to go on Maui and Teri’s property was a great place to escape. We loved the birds, pool, and lanai especially. Highly recommend for a relaxing, peaceful place where you won’t want to leave.

Wonderful Time in Wailea

We had a great time in Wailea and this property was perfect for our stay. Teri was the perfect host giving us many good pointers on where to eat, beaches to visit, etc. The property was convenient to everything, yet away from the bustle of the big resorts. The pool and the privacy were great benefits of the property and we highly recommend it. If we return to Maui, this is exactly where we would want to stay again!

Absolutely wonderful

We absolutely loved this property. The location was just off the main road-close to beaches, shops, and dining. The view was breathtaking, the pool was perfect just to lounge around and the property had the tropical surroundings which was beautiful. Teri was a fantastic host. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting a romantic vacation as it's very private. I could speak forever on how incredible it was. Thank you Teri for your little piece of heaven we were able to enjoy to celebrate our anniversary!
