  • This home has been remodeled inside and out this last year. Great for a family the home sleeps 6. Three bedrooms two full baths. Queen Master Bedroom with on-suite, Full-Size Bedroom and Twin Bedroom with two twin beds. Linens provided on all beds along with bath towels, beach towels, and kitchen towels. Hardwood floors throughout the home. Granite countertops in the kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Home is fully equipped with everything you need kurig coffee pot and Cuisinart.drop coffee pot, including a stainless very clean gas grill outside along with beach chairs and beach toys everything a family needs for a great beach vacation. This home is in a very quiet residential neighborhood. Easy walk/ride to the beach or take a walk on the multi-use path along with the sound for beautiful views of the sunset. The sound offers amazing views with free public boat access and several public gazebos. The wrap-around deck is perfect for morning coffee and evening meals.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Swept Away 1, and we highly recommend it for others when planning to stay in KDH! The immaculate property totally met our expectations, with a well stocked kitchen, plenty of space for our family of 4 adults and a pre-teen, lots of extras, including extra pillows and towels, beach towels and beach chairs, outdoor grill, and stocked laundry facilities, in a wonderfully quiet residential neighborhood. The location is great, in close proximity to the multi-use path on the bayside, and easy beach access to walk or drive to the ocean side. The covered porch was ideal to catch the summer breezes while enjoying morning coffee or winding down after a busy day exploring. Our hosts were friendly and very accommodating, with quick responses to our inquiries, and they were very helpful with recommendations for local eateries and activities. Check-in and checkout were super easy, and we would definitely stay here again! Thank you to our host family for a wonderful stay, and also for the unexpected gift card for local ice cream! We were “Swept Away”!

We highly recommend Swept Away. Joe & Jen were wonderful hosts! Their home is close to the beach, restaurants, etc. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood also! We appreciated the cleanliness of this home, beds were very comfortable and kitchen was well stocked! Thank you Joe & Jen!

We really enjoyed our weekend getaway in this home. The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful. Check in and checkout was very smooth. The house was clean and everything was as described. Jenniffer was an amazing host! She checked on us during our stay to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. She and her family live across the street which is a huge plus in case something went wrong, they were right there to assist. Thanks a lot for the sweet treat gift, Holy Cow Creamery was delicious!

The host was both welcoming and responsive. The house was also awesome - everything was very nice and comfortable. I wish that the weather had been warmer so we could have sat on the porch and the deck; both looked so inviting. The location was also great as it was on a quiet street but still convenient to everything we needed or wanted to see. We absolutely enjoyed our time there.

We had a wonderful holiday weekend at this Kill Devil Hills beach house! The location was perfect—close to grocery stores, shopping, and of course the beach. The home was very clean, well-stocked, and spacious enough for the whole family. We especially loved relaxing on the deck, renting a golf cart, and bringing our own bikes to cruise the neighborhood. Check-in was seamless, and the hosts were very responsive. Highly recommend—can’t wait to come back!

Cozy and welcoming Home

This was our family's first trip to the OBX and this house was everything we could have hoped for. It was comfortable, inviting and felt like home away from home. My husband and I were traveling with our 4 kids (19,16,11 and 4) and this home offered everything we needed. We spent most of the days exploring the beaches and areas and it was great to come back to this property to unwind and relax. I would definitely recommend this property for anyone looking for a great experience. The location is great and close to everything you need and the owners are wonderful and extremely helpful in helping you make sure you have a great vacation.

Pleasant and great location

Thoughtfully furnished and accommodating, very clean, centrally located. The owners were very friendly, and checked in with us when we saw them. Highly recommend for families with older kids, stairs are fairly steep for younger children.

Total Gem of a House/Stay

Loved this house and the lady who manages it is a sweet superstar! We had a great time and felt very comfortable - it was like being at home. This is a must-use type of house!

Great house

The house was great and Jennifer was a wonderful host! Great suggestions for restaurants and lots of beach supplies including beach towels and chairs, even though we brought our own. Super convenient amenities. Fully stocked kitchen and coffee was a plus since we had arrived later than planned and needed coffee in the morning! Definitely recommend! Thanks again Jennifer!
