”This was my third stay at The Principal Hotel. The history of this property is unique and the rooms are amazing - essentially in brand-new condition and very tastefully designed and decorated. I've eaten at the adjoining restaurant, the Graphite, on one occasion. Amazing food! (When the Graphite is closed on Mondays, I eat at the Thai House restaurant within blocks of the hotel. ”Good gym. Broke elevator and poor noisy stairwell doors. The night lady working is super good. Beds and showers were very nice and a decent to good breakfast. ”

”It was kind of janky the doors we're in rough shape you couldn't get into the workout room the pool was was cold and smelled like a bleach factory that it was burning your eyes the beds were terrible you could hear people in the hallway all night slamming doors yelling”

”Everything’s great about the stay except for the really hard old bed and the pillows that needed to be replaced. They were so misshapen and not worth being on the bed at all. I did not get a good nights sleep either night I was there.”

Each room as well as all the common areas were beautifully appointed with so many interesting touches of decor... the attention to detail was entertaining and simply delightful. I highly recommend The Lodge at Grant's Trail. My husband and I would definitely enjoy staying there again, next time we're in the St. Louis area.”

”Mold in room, hole in wall, dirty sheets, smelt musty. Breakfast server cold biscuits and watered down meatless gravy, warm milk and a broken juice machine. Save the suffering and sleep in you car or keep driving”
