”Friendly staff, great service and great breakfast ”

”Located in centre of town, ideal for visiting the cathedral, food was fine, with buffet breakfast which suited us. Bedroom and bathroom were both clean and a comfortable bed ensured a good nights sleep.”

”Stayed here during the summer, breakfast was great, we were given a menu and a choice of continental selection. Breakfast cooked fresh so we booked again. Sadly this time we were greeted with a breakfast buffet which wasnt the same. Therefore we would not be in a rush back, hopefully the cook will ge brought back ”

”Overall the hotel was ok. The bed was hard and a four poster, which wasn’t very tall, so I had quite a few head bumps. We stayed during the cold snap and the room didn’t have great heating, however reception did provide an additional electric radiator which worked perfectly. Overall staff were great, parking was easy, it is dog friendly but not all rooms are from what I could gather so you should check in advance if it’s ok. ”If you go room only breakfast is £10 per head, we don't eat a big breakfast so for us is isn't worth it, we went out for breakfast.”

”We had to abandon trip due to an emergency tried to move the booking to the following weekend. Initially hotel suggested it was possible but then decided it wouldn’t. Expedia staff were excellent in trying to assist. we understand the terms of the booking but as a frequent traveller the first time we have found a hotel operator to be inflexible which is a shame. As we weren’t able to complete the visit unable to comment on the rest of the facilities but unlikely to choose stop at a days inn...

”The staff were fantastic, polite, friendly and helpful, which the made it a brilliant stay. Dinner was good and very family friendly with food options for the kids. Breakfast was the only let-down, scrambled eggs were cold and tasted awful, not much choice of fruit. ”

”Property was nice and room ok. Shower was a powerful but temperature kept varying. Bar food and drinks were nice but disappointing that on Expedia (who we booked through) it said pets stay free but on arrival charges were applied for the dog which is why I’ve given a lower rating. Did mention to the member of staff who checked us in but nothing was done about this and Expedia still shows as pets stay free ”

”Everything was exceptional. The staff was incredibly helpful. The rooms were gorgeous. The food was great. But I cannot say anything better about that staff. They were absolutely lovely.”

”We stayed as part of a large group attending a wedding nearby. The hotel was gorgeous. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and well equipped as you expect. But what made our stay were the staff - they were so wonderful. Friendly, helpful, accommodating and well organised.”
