”First time at this hotel, staying for one night. A quick visit to Tiverton on the way home from a few days in Bideford to see the Grand Western Canal and assess the potential for a future longer visit. Overall, facilities, food and staff excellent, decor a little tired. Free parking on site a major advantage. Room comfortable, but no USB ports provided to charge phones etc. However, will definitely consider coming back at a later date. ”

”Barton Instow Guest house is a jewel in the crown. A lovely old converted farmhouse nestled in the Instow countryside but only a short walk to the beautiful beach front. The bed was clean and comfortable, towels dressing gowns and toiletries are also provided. Cold milk was available each evening for a morning cuppa in your room before an amazing breakfast choice of delicious food. ”We had an overnight stay here for a friend's birthday and really enjoyed our stay , It's not the Ritz as some previous reviewers seemed to expect,but it was clean ,the guy on the reception was friendly and helpful and we managed to use the outdoor swimming pool.An ideal location for what we needed ,”

”Our Lodge was lovely and clean, our breakfast was delicious and both days the girls on reception/ taking orders were extremely nice and very good. ”

”Stephen was a wonderful host showing us our room on arrival and explaining arrangements there. Room 3 was extremely well appointed with our own entrance and outdoor space. The small kitchen area included a microwave great for a cosy meal in. The continental breakfast was amazing and really set you up for the day. Set in quiet countryside outside Bideford with easy access to local attractions and exploring the countryside. A really relaxing break for us and would definitely recommend staying...

”The stay was incredibly relaxing and the room amazing. Sadly our safe remained broken the entire time. Shelby and Brendan were superb teachers for archery and axe throwing- we had so much fun! Highly recommend a visit”

”What a lovely stay at Newberry Beach Lodge. The property itself is lovely, spacious and very comfortable. Christopher was an outstanding host, great communication and very helpful as well as cooking a great breakfast! The location and surrounding area are also wonderful and my walking boots got a good outing. I fully intend to come back for a longer stay!”

”We stayed in the garden suite. It was lovely. My only criticism would be that one of the legs on the futon in the living room area was broken. Our Daughter said the bed in the smaller bedroom wasn't very comfortable so we used spare duvets and a blanket to make it more comfortable. The small garden area was ideal for our dogs to be able to give them some space to toilet etc. The food in the pub was very nice, my only criticism would be the lack of vegetarian options. Overall we enjoyed our stay....
