”We stayed two weekends, 23rd and 30th The staff were very good at their job. When we were staying above incredibly volatile and inebriated guests on the first weekend, it was dealt with quickly. Unfortunately the next night another guest set off the fire alarm at 1am. The second weekend was faultless- thoughtful guests same excellent staff Clientelle interesting, staff incredibly professional and kind. ”We had a wonderful stay. The room was perfect and loved wandering through the gardens and nearby walks despite the weather. Cosy evening by the fireplace, red wine and board games. The Christmas decorations were tasteful and festive. Fantastic team of staff and look forward to returning.”

”A lovely very old building. Sadly what made it uncomfortable was that the building sits right on the roadside and our room was over the front door area where the traffic made it difficult to sleep. The room was small but the beds were comfortable. A heater was provided in the room as no plumbed in heating. The shower had no power but I guess this is perhaps the trade off with such an old building. The gentleman who checked us in and looked after us for breakfast was great and friendly. ...

”Unfortunately the hotel had some problems in the kitchen which impacted very badly on the menu for dinner, the breakfast, service (so slow) and noise. It would have been better to fix the problems before reopening or to have had the courtesy to let us know in advance what the situation was. I would have stayed somewhere else. Extremely disappointing as I’ve had lovely stays here in the past. ”
