”Loved this quaint cottage tucked away from hustle and bustle. Ideal for our short stay and plenty to do and see close by. Lovely walks for the dog. Town of Ulverston has lots to see and plenty of history. Beach at Roadhead was very quiet amd sunset beautiful. Ideal location to see other parts of the lakes. Travelled by train from Haverthwaite upto Windermere.”

”Wonderful set up at The Lodge. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a small family break. All the mod cons, particularly liked the electric window blinds. Kitchen facilities was excellent and more than adequate. We also took our own coffee machine for that extra home comfort. Location was pretty central for the places we wanted to visit. Windermere was only 40 minutes away with stunning views of the country side on route. Hot Tube was a lovely touch and well maintainedAll in all a lovely break away...

”A very comfortable and well equipped cottage. Everything that is required is there, the bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent. My only (minor) complaint was that the quality of the towels supplied wasn’t great. Otherwise and excellent holiday home.”

”This is an excellent house in superb state of repair with very good quality furniture. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The booking process was simple and Martin Wardle of the agents was extremely helpful. The house is situated in a village which is very near Kendal, the lakes and just over one hour to the Solway coast. There are some very good dining places in the area with our favourite being The Watermill Inn which has its own micro brewery producing very tasty beers. All in all...
