”Lovely owners who have run this place for over 40 years. It is set back in time, early 80s and an education and experience of that. However does have Wifi and central to the Town. I was upgraded to a larger room with en suite without asking which was a nice touch. Pleasantly surprised with the cost that it included breakfast, I had porridge, fruit juice, cooked breakfast and toast. All floors have stairs which would not be suitable for the less mobile.”

”An enjoyable stay. Comfortable room, friendly helpful staff, good food.”

Parking on- street is easy and no restrictions after 6pm and before 9am. An hour parking with no return within one hour is allowed during the period of 9am and 6pm. The host is very nice and very friendly. We were warmly welcomed and felt very comfortable during the stay. The room we stayed was very clean, spacious with all the amenities we needed....

No noisy dining room nor rush to have table cleared away. All was at our pace which was what we wanted. A peaceful haven in a beautiful setting with the most friendly and helpful staff made this break first class. We...

”Lovely stay here. The room was fantastic, staff helpful and breakfast was amazing. The chauffeur ride into Cartmel was also a great touch. We shall return!”

”Enjoyed a great 3 night stay at the Hideaway. This is a true Bed & Breakfast. Our bed was comfortable and our private bath had been nicely modernized with helpful shelves and racks. The breakfasts were prepared to order from a balanced menu. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Due to the rain we did not get to enjoy the outside sitting area but it looked inviting. The bedroom itself was a bit tight, but we had small roller bags so we were able to situate everything - would have been...
