"Lovely owners who have run this place for over 40 years. It is set back in time, early 80s and an education and experience of that. However does have Wifi and central to the Town. I was upgraded to a larger room with en suite without asking which was a nice touch. Pleasantly surprised with the cost ..."

"Fab location in the heart of Bowness, close to the lake. It's a bit tired, but the staff are nice. The pool is lovely. Parking is a short walk away, about 300 yards. Nice, but in need of an update"

"The hotel was very beautiful old building. The apartment was spatious, bathrooms were very nice, but the sofa bed was very uncomfortable and the temperature in the room was too high. Windows couldn't be kept open because of the terrible smell from the cows next to the hotel!"
