”Overall the stay was excellent the hosts were amazing and flexible suggesting places to eat for dinner nearby. The breakfast was delicious. The room was to a high standard and the bathroom was clean with a great shower. Only two reasons it didn’t get a 5 star. The road into the hotel is a dirt track and we had heavy rain and the potholes or rather gorges were filled with water and impossible to see how deep. You had to drive under 5 mph to try to retain the floor of your car. The second was...

”no signs for reception, doors were locked and there was no number or bell to ring, no wifi, no rubbish bin in room, curtains too small for the window, no toiletries, car park poorly lit, it looks like the hotel is under some sort of renovation, raining last night and the gutter was leaking”

”Access worked well via code communicated via email. Room was very clean and well appointed. Bed and bedding was very comfortable. Small bathroom with nice rainfall shower. Location was ideal sitting at the bottom of Steep Hill between shops and historic Lincoln (castle/cathedral). ”

Poor carpet dirty thick marks badley frade at inner door, flickering bed lights, Bathroom door not shutting, Bathroom wall paper miss coloured patchy ,Toilet loose on wall, Basson waist pipe cross threaded, Bath area two chains on plug and not connected, tiles not grouted, 4 tiles slack agents wall. No alcohol licence so could not have a drink. Male receptionist hard to understand. High risk of electrical fire or being hit by loose tiles.”

”Was supposed to be here for 2 nights, first night first room, TV not working, Wifi not working and no hot water! Moved me to a new room turned out to have the same issues. When I reached the hotel for the second night I was told. there is still no hot water so left the hotel and stayed elsewhere. The room was booked in advance and have contacted the hotel via Expedia twice to try and get a refund for at least the second night and not heard from them at all.”

”We had a 2 week stay in December due to family circumstances and really could find no fault. The staff team are really lovely, always friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Very clean throughout and breakfast was plentiful. We felt very safe there and parking outside the door. Excellent base for Doncaster town. ”

”Friendly Staff, but room not fit for purpose, TV broken screen, shower pointless unless you want a cold shower, no pressure on warm/hot, restaurant had stopped serving when I arrived at 8:20pm, lights flickering, plug socket dubious and buzzing, room tired and dated, needs investment it rooms, I stay in around 40 different hotels annually and I can quite honestly say this was one of the worst rooms I’ve stayed in, and it takes a lot for me to complain, but it’s sub standard for sure. ”

”Centrally located. Nice room, but very cold in November. Service in restaurant was very slow as I waited my burger about 45 min. although there was only one customer in addition in the whole restaurant”
