”The location was ok, short car drive to the Bay of Fires or not too long one to Freysinet if that would have been your choice. Also the pub/restaurant were popular and the desert we had was tasty. Service was ok, however the map they gave of the are was very basic/quite poor and we found their promoting of their own restaurant over any other place near-by for for dinner annoying (little too much maybe..). ”The area was beautiful and quiet and full of nature. The accomodation (& beds) was modern, warm, comfortable & had everything we needed. Communication was friendly & useful for how to get there & local dining options (which was also brilliant, friendly and delicious.) They had kindly started the fireplace before we arrived. I’d stay here again happily. ”

”The Gardeners Cottage at Brickendon was everything we could have dreamed of in a restored cottage. Having free access to the estate gardens and grounds whilst there was fantastic and we were lucky enough to meet members of the Archer family as well as their friendly staff. Although it is a working estate we were made very welcome and I cannot rate the whole experience highly enough. So special to see the whole estate being kept as a going concern and in the same family. Wonderful place!”
