”We stayed for two night cause were visiting Udawalawe national park, which is about 30mis away so the hotel is a very good basepoint. Hotel is a walking distance from bus station and town central. Arrived and got complimentary drinks, super nice welcome and info of jeep/driver arrangements for the safari. The safari is a couple of dollars more expensive if you get it through the hotel but so easy, I highly recommend doing it that way. You get breakfast to go and the jeep and driver were...

”Worst hotel I’ve been to in Sri Lanka and completely overpriced. The pictures must either be well PSed or are from two centuries ago as everything is old, run down and dirty now. We were the only guests on both the day of arrival and departure which was a bit weird and the staff was talking outside our door the entire night. The a/c is from the 18 hundreds and louder than a fighter jet (metaphorically speaking). I can highly not recommend this place!!!”

”Toted as being one of the most remote hotels in SL the hotel did not disappoint. Fabulous location and well run for such a remote site. You certainly got a sense of the rainforest by the time you got there. Our container was comfortable and the bar and dinning rooms spacious. As vegetarians we were a little bored with curry and rice yet again but it was nice not to have to face another buffet dinner as dinner was served to you. My only qualm was that it took an hour 15 mins to cover the...

”Quite an excellent resort near the national park. This is probably one on the best choises. Maybe a bit too polite staff as a normal Finnish person feels quite awkward when taken care of too much. We had the dinner buffet included and it was very good. So was the breakfast. The only huge minus comes from Wi-Fi that did not work in the room at all. Maybe it was only temporarily down.”

”Very nice place and experience to sleep up in a tree! The service was excellent and friendly stuff. They did us a big tasty takeaway breakfast 05am because we were going on early morning safari to Udawalawe. There is no windows in the room or bathroom but it was not a problem for us, it makes the athmosphere, feeling like you sleep in the jungle. There are bambu curtains insted of the windows. I recomend this for one-two nights sleepover. The bathroom is clean and shower is good like in a 3star...

”It was the most amazing experience! I love the staff very friendly and kind. Help me with everything. Front house Sampath, dumindu and sithijaya , sahan, gayantha, Rukshan are awesome, Gave me the best service they could. Foods are delicious 😋, pool was clean and easy access. More then anything the staff are making me to come back here again. Feel like home. I love you guys and the hotel 🥰😍 Thank you very much for looking after me and making my stay truly wonderful. ”I can’t recommend this place enough! Great communication with Eric all the way through, we came a bit late, and before we could order our meals over email and it was ready. Great WiFi! Evening watching fireflies in the dark.
The food both breakfast and dinner was delicious. Eric also helped book our safari trip witch was terrific!”

”We had a fantastic stay at Lizard Safari Lodge. The rooms are clean and well kept, with a nice big bed, mosquito net and fan. Our room had a balcony which was great to sit out on in the late afternoon. Dinner was delicious on both nights of our stay (as was breakfast) with a good selection of food and very generous portion sizes! Nandu could not have been kinder, taking us on a tour of the village and to a local swimming spot on the afternoon of our arrival, and providing snacks and ice creams....

Unfortunately, the chef for dinner was not available when we were there but we found good and cheap dinner locations just minutes away. ”
