Rantahotellit - Koloa, Havaiji

”We had the absolute best stay at the Koa Kea. We loved how the resort is on the smaller side, and you can easily walk out of your room and to the pool, beach, or to some nearby businesses (little fish, puka dog, surf shop..). The staff was super friendly and accommodating as well. I also loved being greeted with real leis, chocolate for our honeymoon, and wine in the room when we arrived! The pool bar had some yummy food, and good drinks. The sunrise yoga was fantastic as well. We stayed here...

”Part of the hotel is under construction affecting standard rooms. The standard rooms are really old and do not meet the quality that you would expect when staying at Sheraton. If we had known this we hadn’t stayed at Sheraton, especially when paying 400$ per night.”

”Pros: 1) fully functional kitchen, which will saved money from eating out for our family of six. Hotel had appliances you can borrow (rice cooker, blender, etc.)..oh and a washer and dryer...I definitely overpacked. 2) we got the 2 bedroom set-up. 1 room with king sized bed, 2nd room with two single beds, plus a pull out sofa bed in the living room...every member of our family had a place to sleep 3) large pool, although not deep 4) cheaper menu's at the resort compared to outside...

”We can't understand how this hotel has a 5 star rating. We travel several weeks a year around the world and I've relied on reviews until now, but... The main pool is full of screaming children, so if you're an adult without children, it's not for you. The adult pool was small and secluded with no amenities. The only restaurant in the hotel is a bar by the main pool, which honestly can't be called a restaurant. The "Deluxe studios" are in separate 3-story buildings with dingy and untidy hallways....

”We love this property! This is our second trip to Kauai and both times we stayed at this Marriott. The pools are saltwater and so relaxing to be in. We enjoyed the hot tub too. This property is located directly off Poipu Beach. Right down the beach you can see the turtles at sunset and the occasional monk seals. Many of the people who stay there are time share owners but we are not. We basically had a nice hotel room. The reasoning for the 4 stars was our AC. We had maintenance come in on 4...

”The hotel rooms need a refresher for the amount they charge. Food at the pool is poor. The upscale restaurants are very good. Staff is friendly and my wife said the spa massage was very good. Paid $22 for a premium margarita and was given slushed iced water. Location is probably one of the best on the island. Unfortunately, I will not be staying here again. Go out to Koloa for food and drinks.”
