”Kiahuna Plantation Resort Kauai by OUTRIGGER Was exactly the place we were hoping for when we were booking a relaxing trip to Kauai. We selected an ocean view that did not disappoint, and our room was about 100 yards from the beach. The room was clean and had everything we needed for meals when we weren’t going out to eat. I would definitely stay here again!”

”We had the most amazing time at this home. Everyone room had an en-suite bath. The home was well equipped with everything you may need. The property is gorgeous and very private. Kevin is the owner of the property and lives nearby. I’m pretty sure he is a real life Angel! We had some issues with flight cancellations, car rental closed, and Kevin came to our rescue. We will definitely be back! ”

”The property was as advertised, with beautiful views and the amenities we needed. Washer-dryer are in the building but plan ahead if you want to use them because it's not open 24 hours. The beaches within walking distance were OK. Better beaches are within short driving distance and a mall with lots of places to eat is within a 15 minute walk”

”This was an excellent value for the money. It was small but clean and was just minutes from the beach. An added bonus was tge greenway walkingctrails through the property. It also had beach chairs, towels and even a boogie board for us to use. We had a wonderful stay.”

”This location is a dream, and the house is spacious, super comfortable, and has AC! We loved our time here so much. The view of the water never got old, and it was so nice being less than a five minute walk from Brennecke’s Beach, Poipu Beach, Puka Dog, and Brennecke’s Grill. If we ever return to south shore this is the only house we’d stay in!”

”We had a great time in this condo. Everyday when we woke up, we would eat breakfast on the balcony and watch turtles swimming! They were pretty cute. Great access to nearby beaches and the pool. ”This house was amazing! It had amazing ventilation and flow through for the trade winds, it felt great in the kitchen and living room. And the bed rooms have their own mini-split air conditioning, so they were very comfortable as well.It was so nice and quiet being right on the golf course. The pool was great and we had several meals on the back patio.Everyone loved it and we would stay again in a heart beat.”

"We can't understand how this hotel has a 5 star rating. We travel several weeks a year around the world and I've relied on reviews until now, but... The main pool is full of screaming children, so if you're an adult without children, it's not for you. The adult pool was small and secluded with no amenities. The only restaurant in the hotel is a bar by the main pool, which honestly can't be called a restaurant. The "Deluxe studios" are in separate 3-story buildings with dingy and untidy hallways. The room and its view were perhaps the biggest disappointment. A worn and untidy room and bathroom. Of course there can be cockroaches in the tropics, but this was the only hotel where we shared a room with them. The ocean view was of someone's backyard, which was basically a dump. $700/night would lead you to expect a good hotel, but that's not the point, it's the end result. We would not choose this hotel at any price, with or without children. Fortunately, there were good restaurants nearby (Eating house 1849, The Merrimans, Red salt) and the hotel shuttle service worked really well."
