Beautiful ocean-view 2 bedroom home in Fumba Town

We invite you to our two bedroom apartment located in Fumba Town, in the scenic fishing village of Nyamanzi in south western Zanzibar.

The apartment is in an upmarket and international residential development that’s modern enough for comfortable living but away from the tourist circuit.

The space is filled with light and art and is well furnished and equipped for both work and play. It is suitable for solo travel or tagging along with family or friends.

This two bedroom ocean view apartment is up two flights of stairs. Each bedroom has a queen sized bed with comfortable mattresses, microfibre bed linen as well as an open wardrobe.

The living room is furnished with a sofa bed as well as extra cushions that make for a king size floor mattress or 2 single bed mattresses.

The kitchen is well equipped to whip up culinary delights.

We have fast WiFi connection and for your enjoyment the 50” smart TV is set up with netflix and showmax streaming channels.

You will also enjoy quiet time at the balcony with the view of the Indian Ocean, as you go about your day.

We have one bathroom with a hot water shower and a toilet

Cleaning supplies and a washing machine are also available for your convenience.

The entire apartment is available for the guest to use and is not shared with anyone else.

We are available online and on phone or on in the airbnb chat platform even when we may not be in Fumba Town at the time.

Our ocean view apartment is located in Fumba Town, a novel residential development located in the fishing village of Nyamanzi in South West Zanzibar. We are off the tourist path and it is peaceful and surrounded by a largely rural farming and fishing community. The Indian Ocean is 200 metres from the apartment and the sunsets over the water are extravagantly gorgeous.

There`s a restaurant that serves delicious and affordable Zanzibari food, a coffee cafe with tasty pastries as well as a medical clinic all within Fumba Town. There is also a supermarket as well as a butcher shop. We are a 30 minutes drive to stone Town and around 2 hours to Nungwi in the north and 1.5 hours to Paje and Jambiani in the south.

There’s construction work on-going in Fumba Town sometimes but that quietens down after 6.30pm. Zanzibar also has occasional power outages. Sometimes these outages are scheduled and when we are informed in advance, we let the guests know.

We are happy to organise airport transfer with the taxi driver we have used for many years. Additionally, should you require to hire a vehicle, we can make recommendations that are affordable. We will further advise on how and where to get your Zanzibar driving permit.

If you have a self-drive car, there is a security clearance at the entrance gate, after which you can access free parking right outside the apartment. the parking spaces are many though not designated to any particular apartment.

To get around and about you have the option of taking the local transport daladalas, there are different routines all originating and ending in Stone town. The closest daladalas to get to Fumba town are those written Nyamanzi, get off at the last stage and walk about 1-2kms to the apartment complex; or hop on a boda boda at a reasonably low price.

The Fumba Town Shuttle oalso offers a hop-on hop-off service to and from stone Town every day except on Sundays and you may avail yourself of this service too.

You may opt for taxi services and getting a great cab driver, reliable and knowledgeable will transform your exploring experience. We can recommend taxi drivers we know, with good affordable taxi services and have been in the island all their lives and are a treasure of knowledge, history, and bureaucracies
