Great resort. Both dive shops were extremely helpful. The house reef is on of the best on Bonaire. Will stay there again.

My first time visiting Captain Don's and I can’t wait to go back. If you love diving whenever you want this is the place. The updated rooms are fantastic with good amenities and great housekeeping staff. Captain Don’s truly is diving freedom and I can’t wait to go back.

Standard room is tight for two guests. Not enough parking spaces on site. Overall, staffs are friendly, though management must be improved. Dive operations by minimum crews. It is not bad, though wish to have extra safety pre-cautions especially on the dive boat. Bar and restaurants are excellent in foods and services.

I was in the new buildings, very comfortable and spacious. Ac was delicious, pool was nice, boat diving and diving on property was easy and great. Pizza and burgers at the restaurant were very good, and all staff very friendly and helpful.

Have only one negative - food at the restaurant, while good quality, was poorly prepared. They need a new “chef “ who doesn’t overcook everything. The only bad meals we had.

The best place to stay for diving! You have a locker for your gear right by the dock. You put your gear on and in minutes you’re driving in one of the best spots on the island right off of their dock. The staff is incredible & totally equipped for boat dives if you want that. We looked at other places & we will go back to Captain Dons for sure! The food is pricey & only OK but it’s easy to get to other restaurants.

The property has an amazing setting with an amazing view which made up for a really dated room. Room 70 needs a serious update. The bathroom looked great because it was updated but this rest of fhe room was not updated. The beds were so old and the mattress and pillows was very uncomfortable. Expedia also needed to say that you need to put down a deposit of US$200 because i was unprepared for this.

This hotel is centrally and located at the sea with beautiful view, especially during sunset, great for swimming /snorkeling and a their staff are great staff. Their food is also excellent, don not miss their all you can eat BBQ night at Rum Runners Bar and Restuartant.

The place is great, I just missed a gym, and to be honest, the room was a little bit out dated for the price. They never replenished the coffee and tea we used. Did not get or see any instructions for beach towels, so we used the room towels.

Estabelecimento bem conservado, porém um pouco antigo. O banheiro parecia ter sido reformado. Quarto amplo, mas com móveis e decoração simples e antigas pelo valor do hotel. Não oferecem café da manhã, o que, considerando o valor da diária seria bastante razoável. Boa localização, de frente para o mar. Piscina limpa e com uma vista maravilhosa. Equipe do hotel atenciosa e simpática.

Prima ligging. Sommige zaken zijn wat verouderd maar men is volop bezig met renovaties. Bar is mooi vernieuwd. Voldoende ligbedden aan het zwembad. Ruime kamers met zeer ruim terras.

Zeer ruim appartement met idem balkonruimte. Goede queensize bedden, prachtig uitzicht over zee. Uitstekende voorzieningen zoals zwembad, bar en restaurant, parkeren. Niet goedkoper dan elders, maar uitstekende prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. Wij hadden een topweek bij Captain Don.

Captain Don’s is a fantastic place because of the ease of the diving and the amazing house reef. Also, the friendliness of the staff was excellent. We stayed in a garden oasis room and it was perfect for our family of 3. It is accurately listed as a 3.5 star facility. If you need pool cabanas, Egyptian cotton sheets and turndown service you might want to look elsewhere. Is you want a clean room, nice pool, easy diving, friendly staff and a great house reef I highly recommend Captain Don’s.

Bonaire is a divers paradise Capt Dons boat dives are very good. Capt and boat staff were knowlegable and friendly. Its when you get on shore that Capt Dons falls down, rolls over and plays dead. I asked a dock crew worker to drop our tanks/BCs off the pier to us. The imbicile decided on his own to shut the air off before dropping our tanks because he didnt want our second atages to free flow. Ive got 18lbs of negative boyanxy around my waist, waiting for my tank and when the tanks THROWN less than 12" in front of us. Our regularors whipped over and hit us both on our heads. He found that pretty funny DANGER WARNING. THE RESTAURANT.!!! A feeling of malaze is apparant throughout the hotel staff with a few exceprions but none worse than the restaurant. I asked for a bacon and egg omlette and watched as the "chef" was putting raw bacon into the already frying eggs .No where near cooked bacon when the eggs came off the griddle. Although divers are always in and out of the water and boats leave from the dock every other hour or so everyone is always in some level of being wet. The restaraunt features a foam cushion convered in cloth. There are no unpadded seats. Staff will ask you to get off of the pads if you are at all wet and points out where they would like you to pit them. We paid for 2 of us to take 12 dives over seven days. We only used 8 but were going to be charged for an extra day of diving if we didnt return our weights 2 days before our stay was over! NEVER AGAIN!

This was my fourth trip to Captain Don’s Habitat in Bonaire, however the last time was in 1986. To say things have changed is certainly an understatement. This well run but rustic get away has transformed to a very luxurious destination in a divers paradise!

Captain Dons is a divers resort. Great dive staff, easy access to several dive sites nearby. They are remodeling the bar area starting July 5th which it needed. They’re doing a lot of improvement of the grounds as well. The food is just okay, not exceptional and many resorts have drive through tank refills for convenience. But overall, great place especially for the price.

Truly a diverse paradise. Hotel rooms are clean and easily accessible modern as well. The property is well-kept and it shows. I had a problem with the first hotel I checked in on the island. Once I booked at Captain Don’s and met the manager who greeted me with open arms, Francisco everything else from that point was a divers bless. He not only took the time to care about why I showed Up mid day but also what my diving needs were. If I were to of stayed at the other hotel I would’ve had such a poor taste of this beautiful island paradise that is Bonair. If you get the opportunity and you are a scuba diver snorkeler or a family just looking for a central location to use his homebase. Captain Dan is it

Good location but staff cared more about themselves than their guests. Some of the workers were great but very poor leadership and any thing to make a buck seemed to be their business practice. I will never stay there again and from what I heard from my group of 20 they won’t either. Thanks

The overall property is pretty outstanding. The reef outside the property was one of the best we found on on the island,and the pool/bar was fantastic.
