”Charming house that was within walking distance to several beaches. Communication with the host was excellent and she was very accommodating. The outdoor patio is a great space to kick back, grill some burgers and take in the island life. AC very helpful for warmer summer days. ”My wife and I were here for one week and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The room was clean and extremely comfortable. We especially loved the dining area. Cam was incredibly helpful when we had questions, and appreciated his prompt responses. The area was perfect with beaches within walking distances, and restaurants within a short drive. Plus, Cam had beach equipment we could borrow if we needed it. Will definitely check back in when we’re back in Kauai! ”

”We stayed for a week at the Ohana House and had a fabulous time! The house had everything we could possibly need, and even had items for our 2-year old grandson. The wagon and beach chairs were appreciated, and the path to the beach was a short walk. We spent a lot of time on the front porch swings just relaxing. The house and location were great and our host, Mike, was very quick to respond to any texts/questions we had. We would definitely stay here on our next visit to Kauai!!”

”Due to a last-minute issue we had to book another place last minute. We booked Jake's place and could not have been happier. It is about 2 blocks from the beach. All the things needed in a kitchen to make breakfast. (That is all we made). We loved the layout. Very nice washer and dryer. Private parking was a big plus. We will definitely stay here again when our travels take us back to Kauai. ”

”This location is a dream, and the house is spacious, super comfortable, and has AC! We loved our time here so much. The view of the water never got old, and it was so nice being less than a five minute walk from Brennecke’s Beach, Poipu Beach, Puka Dog, and Brennecke’s Grill. If we ever return to south shore this is the only house we’d stay in!”

"We can't understand how this hotel has a 5 star rating. We travel several weeks a year around the world and I've relied on reviews until now, but... The main pool is full of screaming children, so if you're an adult without children, it's not for you. The adult pool was small and secluded with no amenities. The only restaurant in the hotel is a bar by the main pool, which honestly can't be called a restaurant. The "Deluxe studios" are in separate 3-story buildings with dingy and untidy hallways. The room and its view were perhaps the biggest disappointment. A worn and untidy room and bathroom. Of course there can be cockroaches in the tropics, but this was the only hotel where we shared a room with them. The ocean view was of someone's backyard, which was basically a dump. $700/night would lead you to expect a good hotel, but that's not the point, it's the end result. We would not choose this hotel at any price, with or without children. Fortunately, there were good restaurants nearby (Eating house 1849, The Merrimans, Red salt) and the hotel shuttle service worked really well."
