”Hotel is nice but not luxury 5* hotel. Service is very good and prices are affordable. Only big resort hotel in Weligama and from walking distance to everywhere in Weligama. Beach is nice and good restaurants nearby. Breakfast is buffee type and hotel has one ala carte sea food restaurant. We didn’t try buffee dinner. ”

”The cheapest room is really noisy, as it is right next to the road. The road is really busy, even through the night, and I don't think anyone could sleep through that noise level without earplugs. The hotel did not have any earplugs, so bring your own, if you are staying in a room next to the road. After spending one sleepless night in this room, the hotel offered to move us to another hotel, or move to a more expensive room with additional costs. ”The stay here was great. Host very gracious. There are two separate bedrooms with double beds, a kitchen with a gas burner, refrigerator,dishes and pans, small dining room, patio with a day bed, washing machine. Bedrooms have a/c. Other rooms with ceiling fans. WiFi worked well. Host provided laundry detergent, shampoo, sun screen and mosquito repellent. He also provided us with some great meals. ”We had a lovely stay at Bayfront, walking distance to beach and a short trip to Mirissa Beach. The staff were very friendly and the room was very clean with nice fluffy towels. ”

Bike rental friendly, five minutes walking to the rental and take me back to hotel after returning. Half hour driving to dock for wacthing whales”

”The Jaga Bay resort is a good place to stay. Spacious rooms with king size beds (with mosquito nets) and helpfull staff. The hotel is being renovated so some of it looks like construction site. The restaurant is good and the breakfast buffet was good too. The location is quiet and far away from the town so you have to take tuktuk everytime you want to go some where else to eat or do shopping. There were many stray dogs at the hotel area and the beach. This was little bit annoying and some times...
