Kyoto Tofukuji Samurai Machiya

Tämä tilava talo on Tofukuji-aseman vieressä, kätevän 15-20 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä Gionista.
Koe ja nauti Kioton kansan perinteisestä elämäntavasta nykyaikaisessa mukavuudessa ja ylellisyydessä.Kätevä ja mukava, tämä on loistava tukikohta Kioton matkustamiseen enintään 10 hengen ryhmiin.
Tässä talossa on 2 makuuhuonetta, joissa on tatami (vuode futonilla) ja 2 länsimaista huonetta, joissa on parivuode ja yhden hengen vuode.

Suuri LDK (olohuone-keittiö), viisi makuuhuonetta ja kaksi kylpyhuonetta (kahden wc: n lisäksi), tämä on ylivoimaisesti suurin Kioton Samurai Machiyan talojen joukossa. Ylellisyystiloissa on ilmastointi kaikissa huoneissa, lattialämmitys kaikissa pohjakerroksen huoneissa ja ylemmän kerroksen patterit - olet varmasti aina mukava.

Talossa on kolme japanilaista tatami-mattohuonetta (nukkuvat futonilla) ja kaksi länsimaista makuuhuonetta, joissa on parivuode ja yhden hengen vuodetta. Suuressa LDK-olohuoneessa on olohuone, jossa on takki, sohvapöytä ja suuri litteä HDTV, pitkä ruokapöytä jopa 12 hengelle ja täysin varustettu moderni keittiö.
Pohjakerroksessa talossa on perinteinen puinen kylpyhuone, jossa on kylpyamme / suihku ja yläkerran suihkuhuone. On kaksi wc: tä, yksi kussakin kerroksessa. Talossa on myös täysin automaattinen All-In-One-pesukone / kuivausrumpu vieraille sopivaksi.

Kaikki on suunniteltu miellyttäväksi ja erittäin käteväksi suuremmille ryhmille (varusteltu ja tilava jopa 12 hengelle).

Vieraamme, sinulla on rajoittamaton pääsy superfast (optinen kuitu) Internet-yhteys Wi-Fi kautta talon. Ja voit nauttia rajattomista elokuvista Netflixin, BBC: n, NHK: n tai FoxNewsin kanssa suurella (52 in) litteällä HDTV: llä.

Our stay was very comfortable for two families, 9 guests in total. The kitchen was well appointed. Was a little tricky navigating to the residence with the taxi drop off location, but with some help from some locals we found it. Was a very lovely area, with a train station near by for handy travel into the Gion district. The temple just down the road was a hidden gem, not busy with tourists.

Amazing house! Everyone loved it, and I found out after a friend of mine had stayed there, so the word is out on how great it is. Very comfortable for our group of two adults and four adult kids. We made breakfast every morning with food from the Fresco nearby, and the Indian and Udon noodle restaurants a few blocks away were really good! We would definently stay here again!

Perfect base

The house is beautiful (pictures are very accurate) and was a great base for exploring Kyoto. The house is perfectly renovated, combining old world charm and modern functionality. It’s in a great area – feels like you are really « living « in a typical neighborhood in Kyoto, yet extremely easy to get anywhere given proximity to the Tofukuji train station. House is well organized, thoughtfully set-up, and everything works. We stayed in the winter and the under floor radiant heating on the lower floor was especially nice. Good bathrooms and the main kitchen/living room area is especially welcoming and where we spent most of our time. Akiko (owner) and Jenny from the agency were extremely responsive, helping us with the luggage shipping, etc. Highly recommend !

A taste of living in Kyoto

My family enjoyed the sense of staying in an authentic Japanese home. The facilities, furnishings and neighborhood required adaptations, none of which were particularly onerous. The location is within walking distance of beautiful shrines, temples and parks. Recommended for physically active cultural explorers.

An amazing place

The house was amazing exactly as promised online. Great kitchen, has a place for laundry and when my son left his wedding ring…they found a way to send it back. Amazing location to walk to a train or 7-11 or sushi and I took many morning walks to see shrines and historic sites.

Wonderful stay in Kyoto

This home is a real gem and easily accommodated our large family. It is in a great location within walking distance of the Tofukuji station, and not far from Kyoto station either. It was a perfect home-base for our travels throughout the greater Kyoto area for the week. The owner (Akiko-san) was very supportive and accommodating too. The house is well cared for and we all enjoyed the traditional, artistic decor, and the modern conveniences. Highly recommend!

Great find in Kyoto!

We loved staying in this beautiful home. Akiko was awesome about answering any questions before we arrived. Also helping us with forwarding our luggage. Our group of 6 had plenty of room to spread out with 2 full bathrooms and a large kitchen. We also loved how close we were to the train station -5 mins. Also there are stores really close for getting beverages and snacks for your stay. The house is well decorated and a true gem. We will highly recommend Akiko and her properties.

Awesome Japanese experience with Western comforts

Our family of my husband and I and adult children stayed here for 4 nights. The prep for how to find and advance communication was excellent (including helping us with a Christmas Day dinner reservation we were struggling to make from the USA before we arrived). We loved the blend of rooms with tatami mats and western beds. The kitchen had a large table and as noted in the listing, rice maker, pot for hot water, pots, pans and dishes. We loved the tatami room with the Samari. We loved the heated toilet seat and the shower had plenty of warm water. The location is wonderful--in a neighborhood near small stores for basic groceries (7/11, Food Mart, and several others) and the subway. I had one questions re a location we were going to and received an answer right away. I highly recommend and would stay here again.

Traditional Immersion and Great Location!

The house was amazing for our size group! And the amenities were up to date and very convenient. The kids enjoyed “Jim” and having the separate eating/chilling room from the bedrooms offered great flexibility with the schedules for all the people in the group. Everything was clean and property managers were super responsive to all our needs. And one of the happy surprises of the place was the location in relation to the city overall. The JR station was really close and if you enjoy walking the streets of the city, everything is relatively close to get to! Thanks for everything!!

Beautiful base to explore Kyoto

The machiya combines the best of a charming, traditional, historic home with modern comforts and convenience. Our group included seven people (adults and three "tweens") and the home was both cozy and spacious enough for us to enjoy for a week in the cool autumn weather. Very well maintained and well furnished, in a quiet neighborhood and conveniently located near shops, restaurants, Tofukuji train station, and walking distance to several major temples. The host, Akiko, and the property managers were all very welcoming and responsive to messages. They assisted us very kindly with recommendations, restaurant reservations, and luggage transfer. The only thing we thought could be improved is that the walking directions for finding the machiya were a little hard to follow (especially at night), but we did finally make it there! A few wording changes in the instructions would address this. We would absolutely love to visit again and are already dreaming of a return to Kyoto. Many thanks! Arigato gozaimasu!

Beautiful home!

This was a lovely home to stay at. We really enjoyed the modern kitchen and dining space as a common area. It was located well with a Family Mart on the way back from the Tofukuji station. The only drawback I'd say is if you have mold sensitivities, there was a slight odor attached to our belongings after leaving the VRBO. And there were several mosquitoes around the outdoors, so bring spray. Besides that, it was a lovely home with the right balance of historic and modern.

This is a lovely Japanese house that easily accomodated all 8 of us. The kitchen was fully equipped and had a lovely kitchen table to gather around. Terrific location near JR line. Great local restaurants an easy walk away. Bed rooms were lovely. We'd highly recommend this house.

We had a wonderful stay at the Tofukuji Machiya. There was plenty of space for our family of seven. We were looking for a traditional Japanese living experience for our boys and this property was the perfect balance of tradition and modern conveniences. Incredible stay in Kyoto

The house is as good as you see it from the pictures. It is beautiful and comfortable and has all the amenities you could wish for. The location is also great - we were able to walk in 20-30 minutes to all the locations we were interested in. We only used the local transportation system (for which you have a station 5 minutes away) when we traveled outside the city. Highly recommended!
