Down a long lane and nestled on 10 acres with space to romp in the yard, the Pointer Haus is a 5-bedroom home centrally located to Purina Farms, WashMo, wine country, and St. Louis.

Ideal for a stay in the Show Me state, the Pointer Haus hosts families, business travelers, solo travelers, dog show competitors, and couples looking to enjoy the greater St. Louis area.

LOCATION

The Pointer Haus is only 10 minutes to the Purina Events Center and 5 minutes to the adorable town of Labadie with the best steaks in the county at Hawthorne Inn.

PEACEFUL RETREAT

The Pointer Haus was a family home for several decades and is now open to families like you for a retreat of peace and relaxation while you are in the area. Whether you are here to compete at Purina Events, for business, exploring Missouri parks and wine country, biking the Katy Trail, or visiting family for a wedding or holiday, the Pointer Haus will be your place to rejuvenate.

GREAT ROOM

The great room area includes a large sofa sleeper, two chairs, and a 65 inch TV set up for streaming your favorite apps.

*Note that you will need to have your own Netflix, Hulu, Dish. etc. accounts to access those features as we do not share our accounts with you.*

FIREPLACE AREA

This area is our fave, with the wrap around sectional that you sink into and prop your feet up on the stools. Or claim the leather recliner as your spot for the evening. This area is located in the middle of the home, open to the kitchen and breakfast table.

KITCHEN and DINING

Fully equipped kitchen with stove, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave as well as several small appliances that you can't live without (i.e. Keurig, regular coffeemaker, teapot). The Pointer Haus is equipped with plenty of place settings, solid flatware, and sleek glassware, as well as wine glasses for relaxing.

There are three different spaces to eat your meals together. One is the breakfast table next to the kitchen, second is the main dining room, and third is the dining set on the back deck.

BACK DECK

Shaded by the oak trees, the back deck has a dining set as well as a barbecue grill.

FRONT PORCH AND YARD

A newly landscaped front walk and front porch welcome you to enjoy a cup of morning coffee or relax in the evening with local beer or wine while Fido plays in the yard. With over an acre of private grassy yard, feel free to run, jump, and play.

FAMLY ROOM

Lower level family room is the perfect hang out area to chill. With a pool table, foosball, and 65 inch TV as well as a recliner and a reclining couch. Kick back or take up some competition with your family.

BEDROOMS and BATHROOMS

With crisp white linens and a deliciously comfortable bed in each bedroom, your sleep is high priority at the Pointer Haus. There are 3 bedrooms on the upper floor, 1 bedroom on the main level and 1 bedroom on the lower level.

Each bathroom is stocked with fluffy white towels, shampoo and conditioner, and your own mini bar of handmade goat milk soap.

PETS

A family dog or two are welcome to come with you, but only with prior approval. Please note that the county requires that you keep your dog on a leash outside the property and we require that you clean up the poo in the yard. There is a $25/night dog rate plus tax per dog.

If you are coming for competition at Purina Events Center, please contact us for approval of multiple dogs and a special dog rate. The dog rate applies to ALL dogs on property, even those you choose not to bring inside the home.

- Other area wineries from New Haven (35 minutes) to Hermann (50 minutes)

- Downtown St. Louis for Cardinals baseball, Blues hockey, the Fox Theatre, the St. Louis Zoo, the Muny, the Science Center, the Art Museum, Forest Park, the City Museum, the Arch, Missouri Botanical Gardens, and much more @ 40-60 minutes

GUEST ACCESS

The main, lower, and upper levels of the home as well as the porch, deck, and yard are all yours to enjoy. The owner's locked storage areas on the lower level, the garage, and the barn are not available to guests.

- Rate is based on 6 people, there is a $25 per night / per person fee for additional guests

💳 Credit card must be on file in case of damages. We will send you an email to authorize a $1 hold after your booking is confirmed. This hold begins 3 days before your arrival and is released 3 days after departure if there is no damage, no excessive cleaning needed, and no house rules are broken.

🚗 Drivers license will be required with our signed guest agreement after you book, along with a selfie holding your photo ID

🆔 We will perform a Guest ID verification securely through our payment processor after you book. The main purpose is to make sure no one has stolen your credit card and used it without your permission.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

You can purchase travel insurance for your reservation! The standard policy covers quite a few reasons for cancellation and applies to your whole traveling group.

Note that all new reservations have the option of purchasing a Cancel For Any Reason insurance policy besides the standard travel insurance policy. You can purchase this when you make your reservation with us, and the insurance is automatically connected to your stay.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you cancel before 30 days of arrival, you receive a full refund of your deposit, less a cancellation fee. If you cancel within 30 days of arrival, there is no refund.
