”Not the first or last time I have stayed here. I always know what to expect, from the welcome, brilliant food, great atmosphere, and comfortable room. I could here noise from the bar and kitchens but all quiet before 11oclock

”The staff went out of their way to accommodate our late arrival (thank you!) and to cater for my dietary requirements at breakfast. Charming and attentive service, lovely room. Only slight problem with one of the mattresses needing to be propped up with cushions as not level.”

Sidmouth itself is a delightful English seaside town with plenty to see and do, eg walking options a plenty, repertory theatre, open air concerts in the seafront gardens and a variety of exhibitions. ”

The bed was comfortable, and there were some nice touches such as strawberries to put on our cereal at breakfast, home-made marmalade, and nice biscuits on the tea tray in our room. We appreciated these.”

Arrived pretty much on 1500 at check in time. Staff were flat out and we were asked to wait 15 mins for our room to be ready. Not a problem. Wed have waited. But what was amazing was the offer of a drink whilst we waited. After travelling 4 hours, this was gratefully received.
All staff we came across were superb, humorous and very friendly.
The room Was spacious, clean and tidy. Tv a little small if you’re going to be in the room but...
”Friendly staff couldn’t do enough for you, all areas were clean and pleasant. Breakfast was enjoyable and value for money. Evening meal again fresh and good value but a limited menu. Rooms are tired but beds are comfortable and again clean . Will stay again .”
