Casa Quercia occupies the entire southern portion of the smaller farmhouse, a carefully renovated two-storey former stone barn with traditional Tuscan beamed and brick ceilings and terracotta floors. Every window is like a painting of the landscape.

On the ground floor, there is a large living room with a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, a bedroom, and a bathroom. An internal staircase leads to the first floor, where two more spacious and bright bedrooms and a large, modern bathroom with a window and a spacious shower are located.

Recently renovated, the house combines tradition and contemporary comfort.

For sunset dinners, there's a large table under the west-facing porch, while for afternoon moments in the shade and for greater privacy, there's a private, fenced-in garden facing east with views of Volterra.

Air conditioning (or heating in the colder months), mosquito screens on the bedroom windows, high quality linens included, and a washing machine convenient for longer stays.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the house, but there's no TV, encouraging relaxation and a connection with nature.

Kindly note that breakfast is not included when renting the apartment, and we are unable to provide it upon request.

Still, to make your arrival sweeter, we offer coffee, tea, sugar, and a homemade treat for your first morning..

Thanks to the fast and stable Wi-Fi connection, this apartment is also ideal for a remote work stay during autumn or winter.

For stays of multiple nights, in line with our commitment to sustainability, rooms are cleaned and linens are changed every 7 nights in the apartments.

Small and medium-sized pets are allowed in certain accommodations (maximum 1) for a surcharge.

Poderino il Sole is a quiet corner immersed in the greenery of the Tuscan hills, not far from Volterra. A carefully renovated eighteenth-century farmhouse welcomes you among fields, hills and infinite skies. Here nature enters through the windows, the silence regenerates and every sunset surprises.

From our location you can discover authentic villages, cities of art, spas and beaches, or simply stay lazing by the pool, enjoying the landscape.

The farm hosts 7 B&B rooms and 2 holiday homes.

Located on top of a hill, isolated and quiet, it offers a 360° view. Lajatico is 6 km away and is the closest town with all the main services. Restaurants, wineries and shops are within a radius of 10-15 km, so you need to have your own vehicle to get around.

Outside the farmhouse there are some common areas: the splendid swimming pool with solarium and shaded area, the Giardino delle Colonne, the “Volterra” gazebo and the olive grove that extends above the former barn. The view is spectacular in every direction.

Who we are

My husband Francesco and I live here all year round, on the ground floor of the farmhouse, together with Luna and Ombra, our two lovely dogs. We will be here to welcome you with a smile and are present most of the time, ready to assist you with anything you may need.
